Daisen-Oki National Park

Daisen-Oki National Park is a nature lover's paradise. It is home to Mount Daisen, which is considered the nation's oldest sacred mountain. Visitors can enjoy hiking and winter sports on the mountains, and the high altitudes offer a cool escape in the summer. The park also includes the Oki Islands, which are a designated UNESCO Global Geopark, and Izumo Oyashiro, a grand shrine at the center of the Japanese creation myth. The varying landscapes of Daisen-Oki National Park were created through periods of volcanic eruptions and lava flows, the uplifting and sinking of areas of land, sea level rise, and erosion. 

There are no entry charges for Daisen-Oki National Park. However, some attractions within the park may have admission fees. For instance, the admission fee for the Daisenji Temple is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for children.

The best time to visit Daisen-Oki National Park is during the spring and autumn seasons when the weather is mild and pleasant. The cherry blossoms in spring and the autumn foliage are particularly beautiful. Summer is also a popular time to visit, but the temperatures can be hot and humid. Winter is ideal for winter sports, but it can be very cold.
