Day 1

Start your day at 6:30 AM and stroll down to Venice’s oldest bridge crossing, the grand canal – Ponte di Rialto. And, proceed to the square at Sotoportego de l’Erbaria which is at the other side. A delicious espresso and croissant can be enjoyed outside in the early morning sunshine.

Venice’s rooftop is one of the best places in the city to catch a spectacular sunset. It is located on top of a shopping mall and is open to the public. However, they allow 40 persons once. Reservations neither can be made on-site or online.

Libreria Acqua Alta, located off the beaten path in a quiet neighbourhood. The store name itself mentions the book store over high waters, the books and other stuffs are differently stacked in the bathtubs, mini gondolas instead of book shelves and racks to prevent the books getting damaged by flood water.

The Saint Marco Basilica is a must-see for its magnificent architecture and mosaics. You can have a look at these beautiful squares from the top of the cathedral. Also schedule a visit quite earlier to avoid long queues.

Piazza San Marco

Venice’s St. Mark’s Square, also known as Piazza San Marco, is the largest square in the Italian city. The Saint Marco Basilica, the Campanile (bell tower), and the Palazzo Ducale are some of Venice’s most well-known structures.

Day 3

Scala Contarini del Bovolo

A distinctive structure is hidden in one of Venice’s winding streets. You can get a bird’s-eye view of the city by ascending the building’s spiral staircase (Scala). From there, you can see the Saint Marco Basilica.

Basilisk Santa Maria Della Salute

Walk through Venice’s Dorsoduro, a neighborhood popular with students, after crossing the Ponte dell’Accademia bridge. Go to the island’s tip and turn toward Santa Maria Della Salute.

Watch the sun set along the canals to cap off the day. Find a spot on the pier that is all your own, then take in the orange and purple hues of the Venetian canals.
