The Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, recently announced that they are planning to re-open tourism in their country in July 2021 only if the cases remain to be less and COVID is handled well. We all really hope that Bali reopens this time for international travel as the last time when they announced, it eventually didn’t happen due to the rising cases.

  • Bali, Batam, and Bintan are the first and only three regions to reopen and kickstart Bali tourism.
  • At the moment, guidelines or the dates are not final. However, it seems that Bali would reopen and start welcoming tourists in a few weeks.
  • The country of Indonesia is bringing a targeted vaccination program into action, which especially covers workers in the tourism sector for a safe trip to everyone.
  • The cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability certification program has been started in Indonesia to keep COVID in control.
  • There are going to be strict safety protocols in place right from masks, social distancing, thermal checks, negative RT-PCR requirement, and quarantine and vaccination if mandatory.
  • The Government of Indonesia is yet to come back on the safety guidelines, the clarity on who can enter and who cannot, and travel requirements like vaccination and quarantine. Travellers worldwide are expecting them in the coming weeks.
  • But most of all, your Bali dream trip is still on. The update can take time but your trip planning doesn’t have to wait.
