1. Sky Garden

Want to dance among the stars, with a bubbling champagne in hand? Maybe a cold beer or the local speciality, Bintang? Sky Garden, apart from providing the best views of Legian, also creates for an unforgettable pubbing experience. A short walk from Legian Memorial, Sky Garden is a rooftop experience that you must definitely catch in Bali nightlife. Definitely judge this restaurant-cum-bar by its inside. Jenja Bar & Club is two floors of partying, wild nights and great food. And, of course, amazing, ultra stylish interiors. A lot of effort has been take to “set the mood”. It is, therefore, no surprise that a dress code of ‘casual chic’ applies. Bar downstairs and restaurant on top, both are intricately designed. The ceiling is decorated with 12,000 interlinked, subtly-lit teak battens with one wall featuring a mosaic of opaque and stained glass.

The bar downstairs features shimmery walls made of a mosaic of hexagonal jade tiles, complemented by state-of-art lighting and sound system. After a soothing dinner of the Asian and Middle-eastern cuisine, party it up in the bar-club downstairs. Once in the bar, definitely try out Tropical Tickle and Jenja Moon. Prepare to take some shots and leave to the dance floor with the masses swaying to some funk, RnB and classic hip-hop. Doubtless, Jenja is home to the sophisticated party-goers.

4. Mirror Bali Lounge & Bar

Glittery mosaic wall decor, stained glass windows, towering ceiling, all lighted by futuristic laser systems. The Mirror Bali Lounge & Bar is one of Seminyak’s premium nightclubs. The view inside is, literally, dazzling. Set in a Gothic cathedral interiors, the sparkly innards of Mirror Bali are always shooting out chromatic lasers throughout the room.

Another bar with a staunch dress code is Mirror Bali – requiring men to suit up in their casual chic and for the women – it’s the “dress to impress” routine. For those who don’t want to stand or dance their night away to glory there are 2 VIP lounges that require you to shake off a hefty amount. Premium comfort doesn’t come cheap. The bar offers a variety of choices.

We advise you seek out their bubblies of Chandon and Moscato and their signature cocktails – Blanc Fleur and Irish Tiramisu. And to go with that dig into some beef kebabs, quesadillas, calamari and fries. We suggest you eat and drink up while the resident DJs get you moving to tracks of house and hip-hop.

5. Koh Bali

Envisioned around Berlin’s underground clubbing scene, Koh Bali is Bali nightlife’s quintessential clubbing experience. With the look and vibe of a bunker-style warehouse, Koh Bali has two levels. The bunker at ground level is top-notch with sound proofing done right. Vivid laser works keeps the place looking sprightly, while tracks of house, deep-house and techno keeps the bar doing its usual thump-thumping.

To catch a bit of fresh air, head to level to where the bar and the outdoor terrace sit. While house and techno tracks thump across the sound system regularly, on Thursday nights they give way to disco and dancehall tracks. On the whole, Koh is the place you should head to for clubbing uninterrupted!

6. Engine Room

Engine room is three storeys of lasers, disco balls, LEDs lighting up to the sounds of DJs playing a mix of hip hop, dub and trap. Attracting a mostly young crowd, head here for pure fun – nothing less. The booze it has on offer is another reason to visit here and dance away your night. On offer are many a cocktail but Smirnoff ice shots, lychee martinis and strawberry daiquiris are showered more attention. Drink these up. If you like to catch up on sports with a beer in hand – Bintang, in this case, the blue arena bar will cater to you.

Apart from the general feel-good vibe of Engine Room, the staff here are extremely friendly and social. Don’t be surprised if someone pulls you up for a game of pool or to the dance floor, leaving you to your own devices. The fun element can be attributed entirely to the staff. This place is, especially, a favourite among party-goers from Down Under.
