6. Jwalamukhi Temple

Dedicated to Jwalamukhi, the Goddess of Light, the temple is situated on the Charan Ganga river bank. This temple has a past right from the 10th century. More than that, the Goddess Jwalamukhi was also known as the Flaming Goddess or ‘She of the Flaming Mouth’.

7. The Shesh Sheya

A long stretch of an 11-meter statue of Lord Vishnu holding an umbrella in a lying position of ‘Shesh Nag’ along with the ‘Shivling’ and a statue of Lord Brahma makes even an atheist fall in love! This statue is found near the Bandhavgarh fort entrance main footpath and was built during the 10th century. Above all, it is from this specific point where the Charanganga River is born.
