General information on Mumbai to Turkey Flights

The best time to Travel to Turkey is any month between April to November with an ideal duration of 7 nights. The best time to book flights is at least 3 weeks before the date of departure to get below-average prices. The flight rates are most expensive in the month of July, August and September. Flights are the cheapest in February. An important note is that flights departing in the mornings are 7% cheaper than those that depart in the evening.

2. Mumbai to Antalya

  • There are no direct flight from Mumbai to Antalya. Almost all the flights are one-stop flights with stops via Doha, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Muscat or Kuwait City.
  • The most frequent and preferred airlines to Antalya is the Turkish Airlines. Apart from this Lufthansa, Air India, British airways and Sun express are also some of the other available options.
  • Depending on the period of the layover, the overall duration of the journey ranges from approximately 10 hours to even 20 hours for one stop flights.
  • Prices per person for a one way ticket start at around INR 28,000/- and can go up to INR 3,00,000/- depending on when they are booked.
  • Flights are mostly scheduled early morning around 6 AM. These are the best flights to take as most of them would land in Antalya in the evening.

3. Mumbai to Ankara

  • There are multiple flight options available to the capital of Turkey, Ankara from Mumbai. All of these are minimum one stop flights. There are also 2 stop and 3 stop flights but these are not reccomended as they may even take more than 25 hours to reach the destination.
  • There are multiple flight options to Ankara, the most pupolar one being Turkish airlines. This airline is the best option for anyone planning to travel from Mumbai to Turkey.
  • Other flight options include Qatar Airways, Lufthansa, Air India and Sun express.
  • For one stop flights the duration ranges from 9 hours to over 25 hours depending on the layover period.
  • For Turkish Airlines the flight prices begin from INR 34,000/- and can go up to INR 2,00,000/- per person for a one way ticket.
  • As with most Mumbai to Turkey flights, the flights to Ankara are also scheduled early morning around 5:00 AM.

Mumbai Airport

The primary airport serving in Mumbai is the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM). Being the second busiest airport in India, it has 2 operating terminals for domestic (Santacruz airport) and international travellers (Terminal 2). Vile Parle Railway Station and Andheri East Railway Station are close to BOM Airport and are good options for travellers with less luggage. Apart from these, cabs, rickshaws and buses are also available for commuting to and from the Airport.

Turkey Airports

  • Istanbul Airport (IST): This airport is the main International airport in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located north of central Istanbul and between the Balck Sea coast towns of Yenikoy, Tayakadin and Akpinar. It is around 54 Km from the main city. There are city taxis available 24 hours a day outside the arrival and departure areas of the airport. It would take approximately 40 minutes from the city centre to the airport by taxi. Public buses are also available.
  • Antalya airport: Ayt is the International Airport in Antalya which is located 13km from the city centre. It has two international terminals (terminal 1 and Terminal 2) and one domestic terminal. There are 2 city buses with numbers 600 and 400 that serve Antalya Airport. Shuttle service is also available from the aiport to the city.
  • Ankara Airport: Ankara Esenboga Airport is the international airport of Ankara. It has one domestic terminal and one international terminal. It is 30 km from the city centre. Shuttle services, buses and taxis are available for commute.
