Haunted Places In Bangalore

Bangalore is one of the most famous metropolitan cities of India. In this blog let us look at some of the most haunted places in Bangalore and the stories associated with them.

Kalpalli Cemetery

The Kalpalli Cemetery is the first name that comes to the mind of Bangaloreans when we speak about the most haunted places in Bangalore. The Kalpalli Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in the city and has its share of mysterious happenings over the past years.

Many people have reported a scary scene of a man lurking in the cemeteries. A lot of people have also reported that they have had a feeling of being watched. People feel a certain heaviness felt in them when visiting the cemeteries. The Kalpalli Cemetery is sometimes so eerie that even the watchman of the cemetery stays away from the premises. Fancy a visit?

The Terra Vera Bungalow

The Terra Vera is a mansion that was built by Ej Vaj in the year 1943. It is reported that in the year 2002, an unidentified killer stabbed the daughter of Vaj. And since then the property had been unoccupied. Quite a few people have experienced sights of a ghost. If you are to visit the mansion in the night, you can sight paranormal activity. When people have tried to capture them, they have lost all the footage as soon as they exit the premises of the mansion.

Even though the property has been demolished since then, people still report paranormal activities and experiences in the same area. Quite a few incidents have made this place to be a popular haunted place in Bangalore.

Kempegowda International Airport

The Kempegowda International Airport is one of the busiest airports in all of the country. You might be surprised to see this place in such a list, as popular belief is that only abandoned places are usually haunted. Our very own Kempegowda International Airport is an expectation to those stereotypes. Multiple instances of abnormal activities have made sure this place has a spot on our list.

Many pilots and ground staff have reported that they have seen a white lady run across the runway multiple times. What makes this much more believable is the fact that there is an infrared camera capture supporting this report with proof.

There have also been reports of sightings of a demonic person. It is speculated that people have seen a man without a head near the escalators of BAIL. Watch out for the next time you visit the Kempegowda International Airport. After reading this the Bangalore traffic seems to be a better problem to face doesn’t it?

Victoria Hospital

The Victoria Hospital which happens to be an old city hospital has a lot of mysteries that are yet to be unravelled. Some of the staff members of the hospital have reported that the hospital has been haunted by a women who passed away in the hospital a couple of years back. The staff has heard sounds of a woman crying in the night, and it is suspected that it is that women who had passed away.

Some people have also reported that they have seen a women in a white saree roaming about the complex of the hospital and around the trees. Interestingly it was not the humans that the ghost was after, in fact, it was after food. Many patients and visitors have reported that time and again they have found that their food gets stolen. If you are to visit the hospital, do bring some food for our hungry friend.

National Highway 4

National Highway 4 is considered to be one of the most eerie and creepy places in Bangalore, especially during the wee hours of the night. There have been numerous sightings and reportings of paranormal activity in this region of Bangalore.

It is claimed that there is a spirit of a woman who roams about in the National Highway 4. It stops the cars and bikes going on the highway asking for a lift. As soon as someone stops, the spirit vanishes away. After a distance, the spirit again appears right in the middle of the road. There have been several such incidents that have been reported in the past. The next time you pass by this route, keep your eye out for people asking for lifts and keep your camera ready as well.

The Park

The Park is one of the weirdest places in Bangalore with an even weirder story. So the story goes like this. The park in Bangalore had a ghost in its premises which used to take the form of a human that someone in the park knows. The ghost in the human form would then go and speak to the person the human form is related to.

It has been reported many times that the person to whom to ghost spoke to later found out that the person they assumed it to be was never in the park in the first place.  After an increase in the number of people reporting such incidences, the park was shut down. Later the park was abolished and was transformed into a residential complex. Hmm, wonder how many people get visits from their ‘relatives’?

Naale Baa

There is a talk that there is a ghost who was a bride and is now in search of the groom. Naale baa translates to come tomorrow. This is written in the doors of many villages in Karnataka and around Bangalore. The ghosts comes around and knocks the door of the village houses and speaks in the voice of a relative that they know. If anyone opens the door, the men of that house are snatched away by the ghost. There is even a famous Bollywood movie called Stree which is based on this story.
