Australia And Pickyourtrail Can Never Go Wrong!

According to me, a honeymoon is a lifetime escapade. My husband and I were on a hunt on the internet in order to find the best travel planners. While going through the pages of google, Pickyourtrail’s website caught our eyes. Later we got a call from one of their representatives. We spilt our needs and desires to them. Initially, we were puzzled to choose between Australia, Singapore and Mauritius. One of their travel consultants rightly sensed our pulse and recommended Australia because of its wild combination of scenic beauty, attractions and adventure. Initially, we planned for a 7 to 10 days trip. However, Australia’s charm tempted us to extend our trip for a few more days. Here’s how we enjoyed our Honeymoon to Australia with Pickyourtrail.

We got our beautiful 15-day itinerary ready in hand. Our excitement multiplied without boundaries on the day of departure. Finally, we reached Australia and our transfer picked us up from the airport promptly and dropped us at the hotel.

Great Ocean Road

Our first leg on the trip was to the Great Ocean Road. Winding alongside the windswept ocean, the Great Ocean Road was simply spectacular.  The craggy cliffs, empty private beaches and bountiful animals grabbed our attention. We spent a peaceful time enjoying the calmness and serenity of the beach. The gentle waves soothed our soul as we walked along the shore. The 12 Apostles standing high on the shore was so majestic and awe-inspiring. The effortless affinity with nature along with this iconic road was indeed an unforgettable experience for us. Our first day of Honeymoon to Australia was beautified by one amazing scenic view after another.

Melbourne Cricket Ground Tour

The next day, we had our Melbourne cricket ground tour. We went on a complete excursion around the iconic stadium and got to know more about its history and facts. We also witnessed the Portrait of Sachin Tendulkar there. 

Hop on Hop off Bus Tour

On the same day, we had a hop on hop off bus tour across Melbourne. Throughout the trip, we were lamenting about the city’s charm and grace. It was a blend of bustling laneways, world-class restaurants and captivating museums. The most loved part was their tongue-tingling coffee and the cosy cafes. We totally lost our hearts looking at the art-filled alleyways and well-maintained streets. Melbourne will always have our heart! 

Melbourne Star Observation Wheel

We beautified our night by going for a scenic ride on the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel with brilliant views of Melbourne. The city that we witnessed during the Hop on Hop off tour was entirely different from what we saw from the top. It was an amazing experience where we rediscovered and celebrated the beautiful city. The experience was totally an eye-opener where we flew like birds that never had wings. 

Time-out with Penguins at Phillip Island

The next day, we both were set for the Phillip Island tour. We haven’t seen penguins in our lives and so we were eagerly waiting to experience the sight. On our way, we witnessed the charismatic wildlife and discovered the dramatic coastal scenery.  Once we reached, we were waiting to see the little penguins in their natural habitat at the Summerland Beach. They came ashore post-sunset and we were able to see the penguins cautiously exiting the ocean. The little munchkins beautifully waddled home to bed down for the night. Looking at the cuddly penguins making their way to the burrows in the sand dunes was such a memorable experience during our Honeymoon to Australia. 

Gold Coast SkyPoint Observation Deck

The next day, we moved from Melbourne to the Gold Coast. On the same day, in the evening, we visited the famous SkyPoint Observation Deck. Known as Australia’s only beachside observation deck, the view that the place offered was simply stunning. We were thrilled at the height of sheer 230 meters into the sky. The magnificent 360-degree panoramic views that stretch from the surf to the hinterland and beyond gave us the best pictures of the Shimmering City, Gold Coast. The cafes in the observation deck were so welcoming and heartwarming. I would recommend this activity to everyone visiting the Gold Coast. 

Warner Bros Movie World 

Our next stop was the Warner Bros Movie World. My husband and I, both being movie buffs, were totally lost in a world full of fantasy and fun. Meeting our favourite superheroes and supervillains was a dream come true moment for us. The exhilaration of world-class adventure rides and attractions at Warner Bros tempted us for a revisit. We experienced the whole of Hollywood on the Gold Coast in a true star style at Warner Bros Movie World. We will definitely have this wonderful place in our bucket when we visit Australia for the next time. 

The Blue Mountains & Jenolan Caves Day Tour

After enjoying lots of man-made beauty, we badly wanted to taste the natural richness of Australia. We had our Blue Mountains and Jenolan caves Tour on our next day. We were taken to the highlight spots of Blue mountains such as the Three Sisters pinnacles at Echo Point, the town of Katoomba, and the richly coloured waters of Blue Lake. Then we went underground to stare at the cathedral-like chambers of Jenolan Caves. In the Jenolan Caves, we were standing speechless admiring the dramatic lighting and floodlit stalactites. The indigo waters of Blue Lake was also an awesome sight to witness. The Blue Mountains was one amazing experience out of all the activities on our Honeymoon to Australia

Sydney Attractions

The next day we packed our bags to venture out the major attractions of Sydney. Firstly, we made our way to sightsee at the Sydney Tower Eye sky-high observation deck. After enjoying the magnificent view from the tower, we headed to the Wildlife Sydney Zoo and Sea Life Sydney Aquarium. Literally, the biggest zoo and aquarium that I’ve seen in my lifetime. Then we were all excited to see and click photos with celebrity replicas at the Madame Tussauds.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

We ended our journey with the beautiful Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was a happy timeout whilst self-exploring Hyde Park and other fancy places in Sydney. While exploring the city, we were totally lost in its stunning beauty. Sydney simply stole our hearts.

My favourite thing about Pickyourtrail is their on-trip support which many of the travel companies fail to offer. They were available for our queries round the clock.
