Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is an International Airport which is located in Hyderabad. This is the capital city of the Indian state of Telangana. The airport is located in Shamshabad which is approximately 24 kilometers from Hyderabad. It was established on 23rd March 2008, replacing the Begumpet Airport.

Hyderabad airport has a passenger terminal, a cargo terminal, and 2 runways. The airport has aviation training facilities, a fuel farm, a solar power plant, and 2 maintenance facilities. Rajiv Gandhi Airport serves as the main hub for various airlines such as Alliance Air, Blue Dart Aviation, Spicejet, Lufthansa Cargo, Quikjet Cargo, Trujet, and Indigo.

The airport spreads across 5,495 acres, out of this 2,000 acres are for the airport. The remaining 3,495 acres are used for airport expansion.

The airport has 2 runways.

  • Runway 09L/27R: 3,707 by 45 metres (12,162 ft × 148 ft)
  • Runway 09R/27L: 4,260 by 60 metres (13,980 ft × 200 ft), Instrument Landing System Equipped.

The primary runway is 09R/27L. The runway is large enough to receive an Airbus A380 which is currently the world’s largest passenger aircraft. The other runway 09L/27R handles smaller aircraft and serves as the main runway when the 09R/27L is under maintenance.

The airport has a single passenger terminal which covers an area of 1,133,000 sq ft. This has a capacity of 12 million passengers per year. The Eastern part of the terminal handles Domestic flights while the western side handles International flights. The terminal has 46 immigration counters,96 check-in desks, and 19 kiosks for self-check-in. it has a total of nine gates seven located on the south side and the two located on the north side.

The airport contains 57 parking bays and 47 remote parking facilities and also has 10 aerobridges. In January 2019 the airport added another 26 parking bays.

Ngurah Rai International Airport

The Ngurah Rai International Airport is the main airport located in Bali and is approximately 13 kilometers from Denpasar. The airport is the second busiest airport in Indonesia after Soekarno-Hatto International Airport and has the capacity to handle wide-body aircraft.

The airport was awarded the 3rd best airport in the world during the year 2016.

The international terminal is influenced by traditional Balinese architecture. The departure has 62 check-in counters which are equipped with luggage conveyors and electronic scales. Ten gates of the International terminal have jet bridges and an aircraft parking system. The departure lounge can handle 3175 passengers.

The Domestic Terminal is 65,800 sq meters and can serve up to 9.4 million passengers a year. It has 62 check-in counters and has 4 transit and transfers counters. It has 19 ticketing counters 8 boarding gates and 7 arrival gates.

The Terminal has prayers rooms and smoking areas. The airport also has showers and massage services. The airport has various lounge areas, including children’s play areas and cinemas.

Airlines Flying from Hyderabad to Bali

There are several budgets and premium airlines that fly on this route. There are roughly 9 different airlines operating on this route on a daily basis from early morning to late night. Unfortunately, Hyderabad does not have connecting flights to Bali. All 9 flights are connecting flights. Airlines such as Sri Lankan Airlines,Singapore Airlines, Malayasian Airlines and Philippines Airlines are the most frequent airlines operating this route. Prices start from INR 18,000 and goes all the way up to INR 1,50,000. This solely depends on the airline and the route your are taking. COVID CHECKLIST FOR INDONESIA:

  • As of January 2022, passengers must enter the country only through Jakarta(CGK) or Manado(MDC).
  • Passengers must show a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test. Test has to be taken 72 hours prior to departure from the first embankment point. Test results must be in English.
  • Passengers must carry a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, confirming they were fully vaccinated 14 days prior departure.
  • The certificate should be in english and local language of the country where the passengers were vaccinated.
  • Passengers who are arriving at Denpasar-Bali(DPS) or Batam(BTH) as tourists must have confirmed booking of accommodation. A e-visit tourist visa with the visa number ending in LN.
  • A mandatory medical insurance with a minimal coverage or USD 100,000 for COVID-19 treatment.
  • Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 test and a quarantine for 7 days.
  • An electronic health awareness E-HAC must be presented upon arrival.
  • The Health awareness card is available on the pedulilindungi mobile app.
