Jomtien Beach, also known as the Chom Thian, is a relatively lesser-known beach located in a town called Chom Thian (which is the same name as the beach) in Pattaya. This beach is about 3 kilometers south of Pattaya and stretches straight over 6 kilometers. The region of Jomtien is home to high-rise condominiums, beachside hotels, beaches, and restaurants. The region of Jomtien houses several Russian and Scandinavian nationals and is also a famous spot for foreign retirees. The Jomtien Beach is lesser-known as compared to the famous Pattaya Beach, and the natural flair of this beach is not compromised to woo tourists. Best Time to Visit The Jomtien Beach

The beach involves a lot of outdoor activities and exposure to the sun. Although you can visit the beach throughout the year, the ideal season to visit would be between the months of November – April, as the climate is dry and not so hot during this season, which will ensure a pleasant sightseeing experience. You can either visit the beach early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the wrath of the Sun. Although the beach is open 24×7, the majority of the activities are open between 10 am – 9 pm.

Things to do at The Jomtien Beach

Jomtien Beach is a relatively lesser-known beach as compared to the Pattaya Beach. Few tourists visit this beach and it is pretty much quieter. So if you are looking for a beach without a lot of tourists and noise, this could be your ideal place to visit.

You could laze around, spend quality leisure time, and immerse yourself in the sunlight as you lie in the beach sand admiring the beauty of the beach. This beach is most frequently visited by the local Thai people, and hence you can make friends with locals in a place that is not dominated by foreign tourists.

There are several small restaurants on the beach, and they mostly serve authentic Thai cuisine, which can be an amazing gastronomy experience. The seafood is very famous and also quite cheap considering how less visited this beach is.

The open-air theatre in the Jomtien beach is a pleasant experience, where Thai families come along and experience the beautiful sunset with amazing Thai cuisine, which induces a relaxing feel for the people there.

Apart from that, if you want to get involved with some activities and experiences, there are few water activities like Jet skiing, boating, etc. that you can participate in, along with pleasant botanical gardens, water parks, and cultural sites.
