The international airport in Kolkata is named Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. It is situated approximately 15 kilometres from the centre of Kolkata. Local people used to call this airport Kolkata Airport and Dum Dum Airport before it was named after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. This airport is one of the oldest and most famous airports in India. It has been open since 1924. It was the fifth busiest airport in India in the year 2017-2018. Kolkata airport is the biggest hub of air traffic. In 2014 and 2015, Kolkata airport was awarded the Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific region awarded by the Airport International Council. It was also awarded the best airport by hygiene measures in 2020 Airports Council International. The airport has two parallel runways wherein the primary runway has a capacity of 35 flights per hour and the secondary runway has a capacity to maintain 15 flights per hour. The primary runway is the one that is mainly used. The airport is also well-equipped with pre-paid taxis and air-conditioned buses so that passengers need not worry about commuting.

The Dubai International Airport is the primary international airport that serves Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the world’s busiest airport thanks to the international passengers travelling. The Dubai Airport is situated in the Al Garhoud district 4.6 kilometres east of Dubai. Terminal 3 has a luggage facility. The commuting can be done via road, Dubai Metro, Dubai buses and taxis.
