La Vanille Nature Park In Mauritius

The La Vanille Nature Park in Mauritius is one of the most famous nature parks in the Island country. This 5-hectare worth land located near the village of Riviere des Anguilles is home to some of the greatest vegetations and animals in the park. The park which was created in the year 1985 is set amongst the backdrop of a tropical forest consisting of palm plantations and bamboo. The park comprises of many crocodiles, turtles, tortoises and other such animals which have been grouped and are allowed to roam freely in their secured enclosures.

The La Vanille Nature Park is home to a diverse set of fauna. The nature park in Mauritius is home to many species such as giant tortoises, iguanas, geckos, eels, wild boars, deers and wild pigs etc which roam about freely in their open enclosures.

Attractions inside the La Vanille Nature Park 

The La Vanille Nature Park in Mauritius is one of the largest in the country and can take a solid day to cover all the attractions. Some of the main attractions inside the La Vanille Nature Park in Mauritius are the aquarium, Le Crocodile Affame, the reserve, fossil museum and the insectarium. 

The reserve was home to hundreds of crocodiles and various species of them that have been preserved in the Nature Park. One can also get to see the various giant Aldabra tortoises that roam about freely in their natural habitat behind a safety enclosure.
