Playa de Famara

This is a long and wonderful beach located on the northwest coast. Found away from the resorts and the city, this beach is off the island. In this beach, you will see some of the most spectacular cliffs. With beautiful volcanic rocks and white sands, this beach is the beach which is windier than the most. Due to this, there will be a spike in the surfing crowd as you will get to see some magnificent waves. Summer is the best time to visit this beach.

Playa de las Conchas

This is one of the beaches that is found in a very remote location. In fact, it is not that easy to reach Playa de las Conchas. This beach is a ferry away from the main island. Not just that, it is also a 45-minute walk after the ferry ride from the main island. This beach is not much visited by many of the travellers, so it is an unspoiled beach. This beach is only suitable for paddling and anything other than that is dangerous without a lifeguard. This is because of the rough waves.

Playa de los Pocillos

This beach has much of shallow waters making it a safe beach to visit. It has yellow sands and a slight slope. This beach is mostly calm. Summer months are the best time to visit this beach and it is the best beach to visit with your family and the best for the kids. During September month, you will be able to view the pine tides. This is a phenomenon where you will be able to see a thin sheet of saltwater over the sands. There is a stretch of cafes and restaurants that will be there for your family’s refreshments. This stretch of restaurants and cafes stretch up all the way to Puerto del Carmen. Visit this beach for its beautiful view and its buzzing crowd.

Playa La Francesa

Spotted on the La Graciosa isle, this beach is completely isolated. This beach has golden sands and volcanic dunes which gives out a very beautiful view. This beach is worth facing with very calm waters that is very much suitable for swimming. Day tripping boats are also available in this beach. If you are an adventurous person then go ahead and take the Caleta de Sebo hike from the main settlement, that is of 45-minutes duration.
