Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates is known for its luxury, ultra-modern architecture, rich heritage, and a lively nightlife. The Museum of Illusions is situated at the Emirate’s Al Seef development near Dubai Creek. The Museum of Illusions is an extension of the international museum chain. The first illusions museum was established in Zagreb, Croatia in 2015. The Dubai Museum of Illusions is much more significant than the rest as it has the largest museum with a collection of 80 plus exhibits. This World of Illusions will bewilder the visitors as nothing is what it looks like.

The exhibit falls into three categories: Master Illusions, Optical Illusions, and Grand Illusions. The museum has been designed in such a way that it appeals to visitors of all ages. It not only entertains visitors with its quirky illusions but also educates visitors on the science behind these illusions.

The museum is a 450 square meter setting. Some of the top exhibits at the museum are the Vortex tunnel, Photo Illusions, Optical Illusions, Hologram, The Mirage, Stereogramm, Head on the platter, The Chair Illusion, and Ames Room. Unlike other museums, the Dubai museum of illusions encourages you to become part of the exhibit and also allows you to take pictures. You will not find any prohibited areas or ‘Do not touch’ signs at the museum.

Visitor’s Information

Opening Hours: The museum is open throughout the week although the opening hours vary. 

Sunday to Wednesday: It is open from 10:00 A.M in the morning to 10:00 P.M in the night. 

Thursday to Saturday: It is open from 10:00 A.M in the morning to 12:00 A.M 

How to get there

As Al Seef is located in Deira Creek, it is easily accessible. Take a cab to reach Al Seef. You can also avail of Abra, Water taxis as well. As the metro is really well connected in Dubai, you can also consider taking a metro to Al Fahidi or Burjuman metro station and then take a cab from there to reach the museum.
