Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay houses 18 supper trees, of which 12 are located in the Supertree Grove. Three supper trees are located near the entrance and three more near the lake. Measuring more than 25 m, these supertrees offer shade in daylight and turn into a majestic display of lights and sound at night.

Singapore Flyer

Singapore Flyer is no ordinary destination. It is the best place in Singapore when it comes to stunning views. It is a giant observation wheel that takes you as high as 165 meters from the ground, offering a breathtaking panorama view of the Marina Bay and also parts of Malaysia and Indonesia.

There are about 28 capsules and each capsule can accommodate about 28 people. The Giant Wheel takes approximately 30 minutes to complete one rotation. This is one of the Best places to visit on the east coast.

With a lion’s head and fish body, the Merlion is the most visited place in Singapore. The Lion’s head symbolises the Legend of the Malay Prince who discovered Singapore. It is believed that he spotted a lion in the Island and hence this island was named as Singapura. Singa means Lion and Pura means a town. The fish body denotes the fact that Singapore was initially a fishing town. 

The Merlion was designed by Alec Fraser-Brunner and was sculpted by Lim Nang Seng. It was first designed in 1964 as a logo of the Singapore Tourism Board. After the completion of Esplanade Bridge in 1997, the Merlion lost its view in the waterfront. And so, it was replaced 120 meters from its original position.  

Fun fact: Did you know that Singapore has 7 merlions? Yes, Apart from this main structure; two small merlion cubs can be seen in the Merlion park; Just behind this iconic structure. The other Four Merlions are scattered across the country.

Clarke Quay

Clarke Quay is a great place to hang-out. It is known for its history and is also quite popular within locals. It is located just near the Singapore River and is one of the amazing places that offer awesome nightlife.  Zouk and Attica, the two best night clubs of Singapore are located here. The party here tends to last more than any other clubs in Singapore and you can be sure than you wouldn’t get bored. The clubs are located close by that it also allows you easily hop from one to the other.  The best time to visit the Clarke Quay is during sunset.

The other fascinating things to do in Clarke quay are Singapore River cruise, visit the Hong San See Temple, Fort Canning Park and Asian civilisation museum, reverse Bungy at G-max Reverse Bungy and try the Lockdown Singapore. Lockdown Singapore is a unique place, It is a real-life escape game and the players will be placed in a locked room. Ion Orchard

Ion Orchard is one of Asia’s biggest malls. This 8 storey building houses more than 300 retail shops, offering a unique shopping experience. On shopping for a minimum of 20 SGD, you get a ticket to view Singapore from the Observation desk in the ION sky (a 56 storey building integrated to Ion Orchard).
