Australia is the largest country in Oceania and also the world’s sixth-largest country by total area. It is famous for many reasons and also has a variety of places to visit but my personal favourite is the Rainforest in the various states of Australia. These cover various parts of the country and a number of different climates. Check out below the various states and some of their beautiful rainforests in Australia.

Top 4 Rainforest Places One Must Visit.

Queensland

Queensland offers a lot of experiences and one of them is the variety of rainforests that one can visit. Few of them are Springbrook and Lamington National Parks within the hinterland of the Gold Coast. These rainforests usually have cool and subtropical temperatures which can be explored on daily hiking exhibitions including the Great Gold Coast Hinterland Walk. On the other hand, the North zone comprises of wet tropics which include the Kuranda Rainforest and the world’s oldest tropical rainforest known as the Daintree Rainforest. These Rainforests also provide you with eco-lodges on the treetops or you can even enjoy a cruise on the Daintree River to add excitement to your trip.

New South Wales

The speciality of Gondwana Rainforests of Australia is that it comprises of 50 individual reserves that total 3,665 sq/km around the New South Wales.
These together sum up to make the largest area of subtropical rainforest in the world. During your visit here you get to bushwalk in the forest at the Border Ranges or Nightcap National Parks. You can also opt for a drive through the scenic rainforest. The Blue Mountains near Sydney and the Myall Lakes National Park that is north of Port Stephens also consist of a few Rainforests which could be explored.

Western Australia

Western Australia has more than a thousand pockets of dry rainforest. They consist of about 300 different plant species, many of which can’t be seen anywhere else throughout the world. Rainforest and relict vine thicket can also be seen in the northern side of Kimberley close to the Gibb River Road.
Mitchell River National Park also contains some unique plant life which tends to seek a lot of attention.

Tasmania

The biggest area of cool temperature rainforest in Australia is located in Tasmania. These rainforests also sustain a variety of life forms some of which can only be found in Tasmania. Huon pines can also be spotted if you are lucky enough in the Wild Rivers National Park. At the St Clair National Park, you will be given a tour on the Overland Track through King Billy which is one of the most exciting parts of the trip as per the tourists.

If you are one who loves the forests and wants to lose yourself in the beauty of nature, the Australian Rainforests should be your next on your list. These forest trips will give you a unique sense of peace. It can also be your way of detoxing your self.
