The Road trip from Delhi to Morni is an absolute delight. Morni is a hill station that is located in Haryana and is a couple of hours drive away from Delhi. Morni boasts of a scenic environment, dense forests, and a lake bang in the centre of it all making it a perfect weekend getaway package. A lot of people from Delhi visit Morni to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

It is also very famous with the adventure junkies as the mountain ranges prove to be one of the best for trekking, boating, cycling etc.

It is about 260 Km from Delhi and takes about 5 hours to reach. Make sure to leave early to beat the morning traffic. The months between September and March are the best times to visit Morni. You do not have to worry about food as you can find plenty of dhabas on your way at Ambala, Karnal, Zirakpur etc.

Road trip to Mathura and Vrindavan

If you want to get away from the city for the weekend and yet go to a place where your parents and grandparents are going to enjoy, where would it be? Mathura and Vrindavan are one of the best places for a spiritual weekend getaway from Delhi. The historical city of Mathura invites you with a warm welcome and tells the beautiful story of lord Krishna. If it is your thing, you can join the bhajans and folklore in praise of the lord.

A Road trip to one of the seven wonders

Yes, you already must know which is the place that I am going to be talking about. Agra is one of the most popular weekend getaway destinations from Delhi and is frequented by the localities to visit the famous Taj Mahal. Get on the Yamuna expressway and the grand roads and zoom your way to Agra whilst catching a glimpse of the famous Buddh International F1 circuit.

Taj Mahal is not the only reason why one would want to visit Agra. It is famous for its marbles, its handicrafts and most of all its sweets. On your visit do not miss out on trying the Agra ka petha, Bidaai, Jilebi etc.

Agra is 202 km away from Delhi and can be reached in a 3 to 4-hour drive from the city. November to March is usually the best time to visit the city and also coincides with the taj balloon festival and the Taj Mahotsav. Be sure to drive safely and responsibly.

Road trip from Delhi to the Sariska National Park in Alwar

This is the road trip that I would suggest for the wildlife enthusiast in you. The drive to Alwar from Delhi is a simple weekend getaway for the delhite in you. It is also an adventurous ride in the forests and hills. The Princely state of Alwar is home to many heritage hotels and famous architectural sights.

If you go further down the road in Alwar, you will reach the Sariska National Park. The Sariska National park is also home to one of the most famous tiger reserves in the country. This place is home to many of the endangered species.

The Sariska National Park is located at a distance of 157 km from Delhi and will take about 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic. I would suggest you to start as early as 4 Am so that you can reach Sariska by 7 Am and in time for breakfast.

If you are daring enough you can also visit one of the most haunted places in India called as Bhangarh. The best time to visit this part of the country is anywhere from February to March. Make sure to bring your camera along with you.

Road trip from Delhi to the Kuchesar Fort

The Kuchesar Fort is an 18th-century mud fort that has since been restored. It has been restored by the Neemrana group of hotels who are providing this authentic experience. The entire drive and the getaway is a perfect example of an authentic UP experience.

You start early in the morning, drive down via the famous NH4 highway, A little bit ahead of the town called as Hapur, you reach the fort which is surrounded by 100 acres of mangrove orchards. The Kuchesar Fort is also close to Brijghat which is a perfect picnic spot by the Ganga river.

The Kuchesar Fort is located only 84 km from Delhi and can be reached upon a drive of 1 and a half to 2 hours. The best time to visit this place would be between November to February. This is a perfect offbeat getaway from Delhi.

Road trip to Jaipur

The Place needs no introduction and probably deserves an entire blog post on itself. Jaipur is one of the most famous weekend getaway destinations from Delhi and is located just 269 Km away from the national capital. A 5 to 6-hour drive is sure to take you to this beautiful heritage city and is perfect for a long weekend.

Jaipur which is also known as pink city is famous for its heritage cities, shopping markets, handicraft items and jewellery. This royal city is also world-famous for its food.
