Singapore tourism is well known for the world famous Singapore Cable Car, which is a gondola lift (a means of cable transport facilitating the movement of a type of cable lift) connecting Mount Faber to Sentosa. Opened on February 15, 1974, this was the second ropeway system on the entire planet after the  Port Vell Aerial Tramway in Barcelona. This system connects Mount Faber to Sentosa (through the Mount Faber Line) and Siloso Point to Merlion station on Sentosa Island (through the Sentosa Line).  Each cable car system consists of 67 cabins, each capable of accommodating eight passengers. This cable car is more than just a means of commuting from one point to another, it provides passengers with stunning views of the mesmerizing sights all around. Some visitors choose Singapore travel packages, just to visit Singapore for taking a ride in this cable car. Let’s have a closer look at some details pertinent to the Singapore Cable Car.
