Since the later half of the twentieth century, this town’s fishing industry has declined. There are no traces of that today. Time and Tide Museum

The Great Yarmouth story and history are narrated in the Museum of Time and Tide. You will hear about its once-popular herring industry and sense the scent of the smokehouse ‘s remains. The Museum was originally built in 1850 and expanded in 1880. Museum work ended in 1988. It is located inside the premises of the Greater Yarmouth Tower Fish Curing Works. Tower Fish Curing Works was purchased in 1998 to transform the place into a museum. The museum was designed by Norwich-based architects Purcell Miller Tritton. Approximately GBP 4.7 million (USD 6.118.459.95) was invested in redeveloping this location. The project took two years to complete and is one of the recommended things to do in Great Yarmouth. The Museum first opened its doors in 2004.

Gorleston Beach

Joyland is a popular amusement park in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, where admission is completely free of sight. This amusement park was opened back in 1949 and is situated on the East Anglian Coast. This park is renowned both nationally and locally for its iconic snails and Tyrolean Pool rides.
