The majestic Gwalior Fort was fondly called the pearl of fortresses in India by Babur. The Gwalior fort is located on top of an isolated rock outcrop overlooking the city. 3. Awe at the Gorgeous Jai Vilas Palace Museum

This rich palace offers a look into the luxurious lifestyle of the royal family. 35 rooms in this palace are converted into a museum. You will be able to observe some of the best pieces of art here. You can amaze at some of the grandest chandeliers in the world located in the durbar hall. Do remember to witness the silver train the splendid dining hall that was used to serve brandy and cigar. 5. Sarafa and Patankar Bazaars Timings: 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM

Spend time at The Gujari Mahal Archaeological Museum

The Gujari Mahal was built by the King Man Singh Tomar for his dear wife. This is now converted as an archaeological museum which is home to many sculptures and artefacts. Man-lion figures guard the entrance and are sure to amaze you. You can also view the stone sculpture of Shalabhanjika, the Indian Mona Lisa. For the music lovers, to walk in the gardens that were once the favourite spot of legendary musical genius Tansen is a dream come true. 8. Amaze at the Architectural Marvel Of Teli Ka Mandir

This is the oldest temple inside the Gwalior fort. A fantastic site for history and architecture lovers, this is one of the best things to do in Gwalior during your visit

Teli Ka Mandir Timings: 6 AM to 5:30 PM
Entry fee: For Indian Passport Holders- INR 15; For Foreign Passport holders- INR 200. The ticket also covers entry to Man Singh Palace and Sahastrabahu temple.
