How Beautifully Did The City Of Gold Shine On Our Diwali Trip?

Dubai is called the City of Gold for a good reason. As we know, it has got the name because of its importance in trading gold. As you know more about the city, you will realize there is yet another reason to call it that way. The sky-touching buildings in Dubai when lit up with lights shine more beautifully than gold. Then think about how the city will look during the festival of lights. Won’t it be just breathtaking? Here is our traveller Harjit and his wife who went on a family trip to Dubai during Diwali and they have a beautiful story to share. Keep reading!

About the planning

We always wanted to visit Dubai and it was our long-awaited destination. And finally, we planned it for the month of October 2019. Being Diwali holidays, we decided on a 6 days trip to Dubai. The reason we chose Pickyourtrail was because of my first experience with them. I had already travelled to Thailand in December 2018 through Pickyourtrail and it was an amazing experience. Hence Pickyourtrail was a natural choice.

We started planning in the month of July to fly to Dubai in the month of October. My wife, being a wheelchair tourist, we planned only wheelchair accessible activities. We even planned all the transfers to be private.

Day-wise itinerary

Day 1 and 2

We reached the Dubai airport on the 26th of October. We hadn’t planned any activities on the day we reached. On day 2 of our itinerary, we had Dubai explorations where we visited Burj Khalifa (124th Floor), Dubai aquarium, Musical Fountain Show and the Dubai Mall.

Day 3

On the third day on our itinerary, we had the underwater world in the morning and Marina Dhow Cruise in the evening. We loved both the activities as they gave us unique and special experiences.

Day 4

On day 4, we had our Abu Dhabi city tour with the very famous Sheikh Zayed Mosque and Yas Island included. Visiting Abu Dhabi itself gave us a peaceful vibe away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai.

Day 5 and 6

And, we planned the second-last day of our itinerary to be at leisure. We didn’t plan any activities as we wanted to spend some family time peacefully in the land of Dubai. And finally, on the 31st of October, we took off from Dubai with a heart full of happy memories.

Our favourite activity

Among all the activities, our favourite activity would be the visit to the Global Village and Dubai Frame. It was such a beautiful experience, exploring them with family.

The most amazing part about the trip
