UAE ranked as the third safest country in the world

The UAE has been ranked as the third safest country in the world preceding Taiwan and Switzerland with a safety score index of 84.55 points.

Global database Numbeo has published the results of its mid-year safety survey across 133 countries—with three of its 7 cities ranking among world’s top 10 safest cities, the UAE has emerged as the world’s third safest country.

The countries were ranked based on safety index and the crime rate. Safety index takes into account a wide range of parameters such as global disasters, workplace safety, health etc—the higher the safety index of a place is, the safer it is to live. The crime index score is calculated by applying the overall recorded crimes of a country with its population and crime levels between 20 – 40 are considered low. The UAE has a safety score index of 84.55 points and a crime index score of 15.45.

Following the United Arab Emirates are popular countries like Switzerland, Japan and Georgia. Check out the complete list of the world’s top 10 safest countries.
