Best time to visit Vagamon

Summer

The summers in Vagamon are generally from the month of March to May. Though it’s summer, the place rarely experiences scorching heat. Being a calming and chilling spot, Vagamon is the perfect place to escape your summer. The highest temperature experienced by Vagamon during summer is 23-degree Celsius, so just imagine.

Monsoon

Though constant rain can ruin your place for the day while vacationing, its not the case at Vagamon. The hills enjoy good monsoon season between the months of June to August. Getting to Vagamon

By Road

The most convenient way to reach Vagamon would be on a road trip. Located close to Kochi, up in the hills, the only way would be to drive around by road. By Train

Trains are well connected from different parts of the state and country to Vagamon. If you are choosing to travel by train, we suggest you book your tickets to Kottayam. Kottayam is the closest station to Vagamon, which is approximately 64kms away. However, from the station, you will have to travel to Vagamon and in and around it by road only.

By Air

1. Pine Forest

2. Vagamon Lake

Vagamon has its own charming lake surrounded by small yet cute villages amidst the green. Though not huge in size, the lake is in fair shape and attracts a good amount of tourists for like boating and chilling scenes.

Situated along the Erattupetta route is one of the must-visit places in Vagamon. A 131-foot waterfall called the Marmal Waterfall, tucked between the green forest is a mesmerizing spot to visit. Located inside a private area, the waterfall was an obscure spot for quite sometime before it was open to the public.

4. Thangal Para

A pilgrim spot of Vagamon, where Sufi Saint sat on a rock still exists. Though told as a spiritual spot by many, the place provides an excellent view for all those visiting Thangal Para.

5. Barren Hills

Though it sounds like any other name, Barren Hills is actually very unique. The place provides you with different sceneries throughout the year based on the season. 6. Mundakayam Ghat

Mundakayam Ghat is yet another place famous for spectacular sceneries throughout the year. 7. Idduki Dam

The construction of Idduki dam is considered to be a geometric marvel. A 2 hours drive from Vagamon, is this stunning dam, that will leave your jaws awestruck.
