Bali With Family – A Bonding Session in Indonesia
I lead a busy city life held up with my work round the clock. In order to escape from the hustle-bustle of this routine life, I was looking for a perfect destination and a travel company to spend a beautiful vacation with my family. When I was scrolling down the pages on the web, I got to know about Pickyourtrail’s Malaysia and Bali blogs. I received a call from one of their professionals who were very friendly and informative. Initially, I had plans to visit both Bali and Malaysia. But because of the time constrain, we picked Bali alone in our bucket. But PYT ensured to bring the best of Bali to me and my family. So we finalized our itinerary with a very reasonable budget.
Ours is a family of four – Me, My wife and my two daughters. We were so excited about our long-awaited trip. As we are nature-buffs and culture lovers, we had picked Nusa Dua and Ubud in our itinerary. Our seven-day itinerary was a perfect combo of adventure, culture and sightseeing. Our hotels that were handpicked by the team were simply awesome and had a family-friendly atmosphere.
On our first day, we enjoyed adventurous water sports. My daughters had the best time of their lives. We gave a try to parasailing, sea walking and banana boat ride. We were provided with safety equipment such as jackets, goggles and helmets before entering the activity location. The guides were so professional and took utmost care of us while performing the activity. It was indeed a great start to our extraordinary trip.
After an adventurous start, we wanted a light and engaging sightseeing activity. Our itinerary was also beautifully crafted according to our expectations. We visited the cascading Gitgit Waterfall on our first stop. An enormous fall with crystal clear water gushing from the tall rocks was a beautiful sight to see. Followed by the waterfall, we visited the famous Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. The entire Balinese culture was brought in front of our eyes. The intricate architecture, age-old heritage and culture were beautifully portrayed in that place. How will I forget the beautiful Tanah Lot Sunset tour that beautified our day like crazy? The painting-like scenery will have a permanent place in my heart.
Our next leg of the trip was Ubud. After experiencing the scenic marvel of Nusa Penida, Ubud surprised us with its immense beauty and natural assets. We made our way with our guide to Tirta Empul, Tegallalang Rice Terrace and Ubud Art Market. On a single day, we got to see heritage (Tirta Empul), Scenery ( Rice terrace) and art (art market). What more could we ask to beautify our day?
Goa Gajah, Artisans Handicraft Shopping and Ubud Palace will also have a special favourite folder in my gallery. We got to know about the talented artists of Bali on our last day. Be it dance or painting or even handicrafts, Bali has the best gems in each field.
It was a complete trip in all possible senses. The stay, the activities, the support everything was 100% from team Pickyourtrail. Bali is a perfect getaway destination for a family trip. Looking forward to travelling more with Pickyourtrail in the upcoming years!
