L'horloge Fleurie

The Flower Clock, also known as L'horloge Fleurie, is home to over 6,500 flowers and plants and features the world's longest second hand, which measures 2.5 metres in length! This massive clock, which was built in 1955, is renovated several times a year to represent each season. This is one of the most beautiful places among our list of best places to see in Geneva.

This technological marvel is surrounded by floral splendour and lush greenery. The clock not only honours Switzerland's premium watch industry, but it is also one of the most famous places to visit in Geneva. A visit to this clock is like travelling to another era!

Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva is one of the largest lakes in Western Europe, shared by Switzerland and France. The natural beauty of the lake and its surrounding area, located on the north side of the Alps, makes it one of the best places to see in Geneva.

Lake Geneva, shaped like a crescent moon, is home to a variety of landscapes relying on where you are. Coming from the east, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Alps. On the northern side, there are vine-covered slopes with villages and castles. The lake is also a haven for a variety of wildlife. The common buzzard and red kite can be found in abundance.

St. Pierre Cathedral

The Cathedral of Saint Pierre, which dates from the 12th century, is perched atop the hill that Old Town sits on. This Romanesque-style cathedral was constructed over 100 years and has undergone several refurbishments since then.

This cathedral is one of the best places to see in Geneva. Its current Baroque architecture is influenced by 18th-century architecture. Aside from the church's rich history, it also provides a stunning panoramic view of the city's sprawl, including the huge Jet d'Eau.

Reformation Wall

The Reformation Wall, which faces the famous Parc des Bastions, is a global memorial erected in recollection of the happenings of the Protestant Reformation in Geneva. This wall is among the best attractions in Geneva.

The monument includes magnificent statues of 16th-century Reformation figures such as John Calvin and John Knox, William Farel, and Théodore de Bèze. The Wall also bears Geneva's motto, "Post Tenebras Lux" (After darkness, light), which was inspired by Calvinist philosophy.

Jardin Anglais

The garden, which is designed to look like a classic English landscape garden, also has beautiful floral arrangements that change with the seasons! Switzerland is renowned for its exceptional watchmaking industry, and the Flower Clock built within the garden is a symbolic tribute to that. This garden is among the best places to see in Geneva.

The garden also includes three busts honouring some of Switzerland's most lauded contemporary artists, each of which is a work of art in its own right. The bronze 'Fontaine des Quatre Saisons' is another notable feature of the garden (Four Seasons Fountain).

Mont Saleve

Mont Saleve is a mountain in both France and Switzerland that offers spectacular views and incredible experiences. It is located in the French province of Haute-Savoie. It reaches a height of 1379 metres and is known as the Geneva balcony. When the sky is clear, you can see not only the Jura Mountains and Mont Blanc, but also an extravagant view. This mountain is among the best places to see in Geneva.

Even if the weather in Geneva is cloudy or rainy, the climate in the mountain ranges is sunny and beautiful. It is only 20 kilometres from the centre of Geneva and is ideal for a day trip. There are several ways to get to the top, and the difficulty of each path varies.

Parc Des Bastions

Parc des Bastions, located in the heart of Geneva, is a beautiful green park with a total area of 64,968 square metres. Parc des Bastions, also known as Bastions Park, is one of Switzerland's most popular tourist destinations. The park is home to the world-famous Reformation Wall, the Palais Eynard, a fantastic upscale restaurant, a children's playground, a former beautiful gardens, and the first University of Geneva, complete with a library. This park is one of the best tourist places in Geneva.

The park is accessible from Place Neuve via a large wrought-iron gate. Just behind the massive gate is a large black and white chessboard. The massive chessboard is always crowded with people playing the game or posing with the massive pieces.

Rouelbeau Castle

Rouelbeau Castle, despite its ruined and desolate state, is one of the most fascinating places to visit in Geneva. This ruined fortress, one of the last remaining mediaeval castles in Geneva's countryside, was initially intended to be a historic landmark in 1921, but the try to rebuild it was neglected soon after. The Rouelbeau castle is now among the best tourist places in Geneva.

This castle, which dates back to 1318, has long piqued the interest of visitors, particularly history buffs. A recently discovered text from 1339 provides an incredible description of the original castle, which was made of wood.

Patek Philippe Museum

In 1839, the Patek Philippe Museum was established. It is now located in the heart of Plainpalais. Some of their master brand's most exotic, rare, and prestigious creations, as well as other creations, are on display. The museum is dedicated to and celebrates the art of watchmaking. This museum is one of the best tourist places in Geneva.

Viewing this extravagant and amazing collection of watches is a visual treat for visitors. Musical automata and enamel miniatures are also included in the collection. These date from the 16th to the 19th centuries and include specialty designs created in Geneva, Switzerland, and throughout Europe. The museum also has a library devoted entirely to horology and related subjects. The museum is frequently referred to as a "temple to watchmaking."

Pointe De La Jonction

The Pointe de la Jonction, located between the Rhone and Arve rivers, provides a quick escape from the city without actually leaving it. If there is one word that describes this place, it would be 'peaceful.' This beautiful separation of two cities is a part of the best tourist places in Geneva.

The thermal difference between the two rivers prevents them from merging. The stunning result is two gleaming brown and green ribbons that resemble a single two-colored river!

Calvin Auditory

The Calvin Auditory, formerly known as the Notre-Dame-la-Neuve Chapel, is a beautiful chapel with Protestant Reformation echoes. It was built in the 15th century and is associated with the Reformation and its participants such as John Calvin, John Knox, and Theodore Beza. This chapel is one of the best attractions in Geneva.

The Neo-Gothic architecture of the Calvin Auditorium, which is located next to the St. Pierre cathedral, is a major draw for designers from all over the world. The auditorium was built during the Geneva Reformation and quickly became a lecture hall. Calvin preached his reformed theology within these very walls.

Ariana Museum

Ariana Museum, one of the finest examples of architectural brilliance, is a museum of ceramic vases, decorative figures, cups, and glass arts. Look no further if you want to learn how ceramic objects are made. It is one of the best attractions in Geneva.

Ariana Museum guarantees to pique your interest in the work, from the excavation of raw clay to the design, firing, and painting of the finished piece. This is not to say that only fans of glass and ceramic art will enjoy this location.

Quai Du Mont Blanc

The Quai du Mont Blanc is a captivating promenade along Lake Geneva's northern bank, adorned with numerous statues, art expos, and flowers. It extends to the upper east side, providing spectacular views of Mont Blanc and the Alps, particularly at dawn and dusk. This place is one of the best attractions in Geneva.

If you're tired of the usual tourist traps in Geneva, the Quai du Mont Blanc is a delightful surprise. Traveling is the only time when you can do very little all day and not feel bad about it.

Greenwich Village

The lovely old town of Carouge, known as the 'Greenwich Village of Geneva,' is praised for its striking blend of French-Italian architectural style. It is one of the best attractions in Geneva.

Carouge is a small town that sits quietly behind the Arve River and is easily overlooked by visitors. This out-of-the-way location offers an exciting cultural twist. Carouge, also known as "Little Italy" by the locals, is a welcome respite from Geneva's ultra-modern streets. Its distinctive architecture is home to a plethora of small cafés, bistros, cobblestone streets, and quaint boutiques.

Treille Promenade

The Treille Promenade is nestled just behind Geneva's famous City Hall. This picturesque little block is said to be framed by the world's longest wooden bench, which measures 413 feet in length! This is one of the best attractions in Geneva.

This square, which was built in 1767, is one of the most peaceful places in Geneva to visit. Treille Promenade not only has the world's longest wooden bench but also has breathtaking views of the Jura and Salève mountain ranges shaded by a canopy of lovely chestnut trees.

"So it all started with the catchy site of Pickyourtrail. I would say it is one of the best travel sites I have seen, with very easy customizations and cost calculations. The planning for the trip to Switzerland and Italy was great with good suggestions provided, they were knowledgeable about the locations, distances ,means of transports and must watch things, also the customizations as per our needs were considered. There visa support team was also very supportive in following up with of our Visa status. All the hotel, internal travel vouchers and Swiss pass were provided right in time and to add to the perfection it was properly ordered. The support during trip is one very cool thing about them. They were actually very supportive in runtime arrangements. 2nd June was National day of Rome and we had return flight same morning. The roads near our hotel were closed but support team helped in early drop off to Airport. Overall it was an excellent experience. All the locations were superb and it was our one of our most memorable trip. Thanks to PYT team for making this one memorable. Would like to mention special thanks to Subbu, Suresh, Sahal, Customer support team and customer happiness team."

PYT gives flexibility in planning and you own your vacation plan. PYT team does help you with useful suggestions. 2. Their app and tools are way better than many giant travel planners. 3. Online support during vacation is good and you can expect help easily using the PYT app. 4. PYT team is supportive and proactive to assist before and during the vacation. I'll definitely consider PYT for my coming vacations.

I am a bit late in writing my review here but I owe these guys one. They helped us plan our Swiss trip which turned out to be the best trip so far. They were open to make any changes in our itinerary whenever we requested. Were kind enough to give extra info regarding the commute and places to visit. Will definitely go with pick your trail for future trips.
