Free Visa on Arrival for Indians travelling to Thailand till April

Inviting with its temples, beaches, and history, Thailand is the go-to holiday spot for Indians. Thanks to the wonderful connectivity and the cheaper prices, Indians can plan a trip to Thailand even at the wee hours and still get a good experience. The Visa on Arrival option for Indians is just icing on the cake. While there are enough and more reasons to be happy about, there is even more to rejoice.

Thailand Visa on Arrival which generally costs 2,000 Baht for Indians now costs nothing! Yes, you heard that right.

In a bid to improve the overall tourist inflow, the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand has announced a Visa on Arrival (VoA) fee waiver which will be effective from 14th January 2019 to 30th April 2019. The temporary exemption scheme offers a waiver of 2,000 Baht for nationals/passport holders of 20 countries. And, the maximum duration of stay is 15 days.

Countries applicable for waiver – Andorra, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

Requirements

1. Filled visa application form.
2. Passport-size photo (4*6 cm), taken lesser than 6 months.
3. Passport should be valid a minimum of 30 days from the time you have applied for VoA.
4. Confirmed return tickets (Less than 15 days).
5. Sufficient proof of funds (10,000 Baht for individual and 20,000 Baht for family) and proof of accommodation.
