lagos main square and quirky statue of the king who gave Lagos city status and people still awaiting his return 300 years later .But thats another story a Mecca for buskers and entertainers from fire eating to Brazilian Drummers and Bands usually afternoons and evenings

17th century fort and moat considered a wonder of modern warfare at the time and still here today standing proudly from where it protected Lagos from the Spanish and Pirates

Built in the 10th century this Moorish castle and walls are home to many stories and even occasionally host a 3d light show on them of an evening

shrine to the patron saint of Fisherman in Lagos famed for the TUNA miracle you will also see his statue facing out to sea at the highest point safegaurding hopefully

The western worlds first slave market area dating back to 1444 and the arrival of the first slaves from Africa perhaps not a proud moment but nearby there is also an excellent museum which gives you an ipad to borrow and is interactive

lagos bustling marina with its yachts bars and restaurants a real abundance of life and boat trips to see dolphins and the caves 

an excellent museum of wax works and rooms telling the sory of the age of discoveries the explorers of Portugal 

statue of Gil Eanes probably the most Famous person from Lagos born here in 1395 his escapades and discoveries make him one of the best known portuguese of all time 

2 Hour Lagos Historical Tour

Visiting Alfama is like stepping into an ancient village within the city, wherever you turn is a postcard with vivid colours, arches, tile panels, street art, fountains, eclectic balconies, tiny streets with potted plants, clotheslines, and stunning river views.

The upper level of the Miradouro de Santa Luzia is one of the greatest charms of Lisbon. There's a Portuguese cobblestone pavement, cut in small garden beds and topped by a pergola of stone and wood, coated with traditional Portuguese tiles.

Portas do Sol means the gateway of the sun. Its postcard perfect panoramic vista offers you views over Alfama, from the St. Vincent Monastery to the National Pantheon and the Church of St. Stephen. 

The Fado Museum is a venue that pays homage to Portuguese "Soul" music. A genre so pungent and touching that it will not easily leave anyone indifferent. It's even said that Fado makes the cobblestone streets cry.

Chafariz de Dentro Square is the main square of Alfama. Chafariz de Dentro means the “fountain indoors”, because it was located inside the old city walls.

I'll be taking visitors for a two hour walk trough the Lagos old town. Visiting statues, churches, beaches whilst giving a run down on the historical influence of this town along with plenty of local tips on restaurants and bars. To finish the tour we'll sample some Portuguese delicacies.
