Greece: the cradle of civilization, sunsets and Mediterranean sea
Greece is an endless trail of gorgeous islands leading you further and further into the sparkling Mediterranean sea. With a healthy mix of balmy beaches, sunny weather, scenic places, historical sites and architecture that varies region to region; a Greece vacation package is for those who like vacations no holds barred. A Greece vacation is as much exploring ancient ruins as it is tasting the Greece cuisine at a shack nearby. As much a beach hopping and island hopping expedition as it is an opportunity to risk it all and test your spirit of adventure.
What to do in Greece
Starting with the buzzing capital of Athens, set out to explore the many ruins and museums on Greece's list of top tourist attractions here. Visit the ancient site of Acropolis, marvel at the relics of the bygone Byzantine Empire and revisit the ancient times at the Delphi theatre. After your dose of history, head out and explore the multitude of beaches here - from soft white sands to black and even volcanic red sand beaches. A beach is never too far out of reach on your Greece tour package. Leave all your worries behind in Greece by taking a ferry down to Santorini. Surrounded by white washed walls, colourful dome roofs, windmills, churches and the great blue-green ocean; it is hard not to feel tranquility wash over you. Catch the most unforgettable sunset over Oia and rent a boat to set out into the ocean for another day. On your Greece holiday package, look forward to the island of Paros and Corfu - each with its own charming native architecture that is bound to make you gawk.
Best time to go to Greece
Greece enjoys constant sunshine from April through November. But it is most pleasant to visit between April to June and September - October. September and October are also great months to travel if you want to avoid crowds and steep prices. Post November it gets too cold and the luxury of travelling to islands is absent given ferry services won?t be available.
