We booked a package tour to Vietnam through Pick Your Trail, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The entire trip was so well-organized, and every destination included in the package was managed with great attention to detail. The breakfast and lunch provided were excellent, and each guide and driver was friendly and approachable throughout the journey. A special thanks to Anith Peter, Soundharya, and Abi Nanthakumar for their kind support in making this tour truly memorable. Overall, heartfelt thanks to the entire Pick Your Trail team for such a wonderful and well-planned arrangement. However, I did face a few issues related to the accommodation, which Ill explain in my next review.

English is not commonly spoken in Vietnam. While traveling as tourists, we will mostly be communicating with the Vietnamese people working in the hospitality industry, who will be trained to speak fluently in English. Even though Statistics show that more than 50% of people in Vietnam speak English, it is not entirely true. While, People living in major cities speak English, local people living in rural areas don’t speak English. Yes. As of 2023, Vietnam is considered a safe country for tourists. Crimes like petty, theft, snatching have decreased significantly over the years. However, it is best to ensure you keep all your personal belongings safe while exploring Vietnam.
What is the currency of Vietnam?
The official currency of Vietnam is called Vietnamese Dong (VND). One Vietnamese Dong is equal to 0.00347 Indian Rupees. Make sure to have enough local Vietnam currency for smooth and hassle free transactions. The denominations of Vietnamese Dong are 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, 100,000, 200,000, 500,000 VND in notes. You can exchange Indian rupees for Vietnamese Dong in authorized Banks, Money changers and even in the airports while traveling to Vietnam.
Do Indians need a Visa to visit Vietnam?
Yes, Indians visiting Vietnam will need to have a valid Visa and a Passport. Indians have the provision, either to apply for a Visa beforehand or can also apply for Visa on Arrival.
It takes around 5 to 7 working days to get the Vietnam visa. You can apply either online or offline. The Visa on arrival provision will have a validity of 30 days from the date of arriving in Vietnam.
