Shymbulak - Ski resort is situated in the picturesque ravine of Zailiysky Ala-Tau
Mountain on the height of 2260 meters above the sea level and in 25 kilometers from
the center of the city of Almaty. At the height of 3163 meters above the sea level the elevators start their ways down.
Green Market- This large, two-level market has a true flavour of Central AsiaIt's been somewhat sanitised in recent years, but its stalls are still piled with nuts, fresh and dried fruit, Georgian sweets, smoked fish, spices, ready-made Korean salads, vegetables, medicinal herbs, cheeses, sausages and enormous hunks of fresh meat. There's an entire row dedicated to horsemeat.
Rahat Chocolate Factory - Rahat Chocolate Factory shop where you can find local made sweets and famous "Kazakhstan" chocolate bar.

Charyn Canyon - Over millions of years, the swift Charyn (Sharyn) River has carved a truly spectacular 150m- to 300m-deep canyon into the otherwise flat steppe some 200km east of Almaty, and time has weathered this into some weird and colourful rock formations
National Park - It was created in 1996 and covers about 200000 ha. It is situated in the mountains south of Almaty between Gorge Turgen in the east and Chemolgan River in the west. The National Park borders Almaty Nature Reserve which is located around Pik Talgar. The landscape includes woodlands alpine meadows glaciers and lakes including Big Almaty Lake. Remarkable trees include apricot maple and apple. A total of 300 species of birds and animals have been recorded from the Ile-Alatau National Park. The park is home to snow leopards Central Asian lynx Tian Shan brown bears Central Asian stone martens Siberian ibexes bearded vultures and golden eagles. Other notable bird species found in Ile-Alatau National Park include Himalayan snowcock ibisbill Eurasian scops owl and Eurasian three-toed woodpecker.

Kok-Tobe - The Kok-Tobe recreational area has a variety of amusement park type attractions and restaurants. It is
connected to downtown Almaty by a cable car line. The City Terminal is located near Hotel Kazakhstan.
Also, there is a 372 meters tall TV Tower at the foot of the mountain.
Almaty Zoo - Almaty Zoo is located on the eastern side of the city and opened in 1937. It is one of the oldest zoos in Kazakhstan. It is now more than 75 years old, so it is distinguished by its traditional design, and includes in its collection examples of the unique and diverse wildlife of Kazakhstan, which contains more than 350 Species and about 6000 different animals such as white bears, Himalayan bears, tigers, Persian leopards, elephants, zebras, yaks, deer, markhors, American condors, eagles, crows, snakes and crocodiles.
