We booked a package tour to Vietnam through Pick Your Trail, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The entire trip was so well-organized, and every destination included in the package was managed with great attention to detail. The breakfast and lunch provided were excellent, and each guide and driver was friendly and approachable throughout the journey. A special thanks to Anith Peter, Soundharya, and Abi Nanthakumar for their kind support in making this tour truly memorable. Overall, heartfelt thanks to the entire Pick Your Trail team for such a wonderful and well-planned arrangement. However, I did face a few issues related to the accommodation, which Ill explain in my next review.

We had taken a package tour to Vietnam through them. It was awesome experience. Such an organised trip it was and the places covered in the package was taken care by them very meticulously. The place of stay was so clean, the breakfast and lunch was too good. Each guides and drivers were so friendly and approachable. I travelled to Vietnam with my wife and 2 teenage sons this month. This was my 3rd trip booked end to end so far via Pickyourtrail though after a gap of 5 years, thanks to the intervening Covid situation for almost 2 years. Doing literally back-to-back and that too 3 trips with Pickyourtrail, should say something about what I think of the experience of planning a vacation via them. This latest Vietnam trip was no different and me and my family thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I'd like to make a special mention of Adarsh Krishnan, my travel consultant at Pickyourtrail, who suggested Vietnam as a destination after hearing what I was looking to achieve from my vacation, and from start to end, patiently bore my meticulous questions about the trip, my expectations from it and curated a very well-planned itinerary, most importantly matching my budget. Had booked an international trip for Vietnam and Malaysia through Pickyourtrial. I was contacted by one Rishika Rao L who helped me create customised itinerary, as what I was looking for was not present by default in the app. She provided the itinerary along with the names of the contacts in Vietnam and Malaysia. Though sceptical at first with Pickyourtrial, the trip was really smooth and enjoyable. It was hassle free as everything was arranged as per the itinerary and the contacts were very prompt in chucking on us for either transport or any activities mentioned in the itinerary. Do people speak English in Vietnam?

English is not commonly spoken in Vietnam. While traveling as tourists, we will mostly be communicating with the Vietnamese people working in the hospitality industry, who will be trained to speak fluently in English. Even though Statistics show that more than 50% of people in Vietnam speak English, it is not entirely true. While, People living in major cities speak English, local people living in rural areas don’t speak English. So, it is best advised that when you travel to Vietnam, know some words or phrases in Vietnam for basic communication.

Is it safe to travel to Vietnam?

Yes. As of 2023, Vietnam is considered a safe country for tourists. Crimes like petty, theft, snatching have decreased significantly over the years. However, it is best to ensure you keep all your personal belongings safe while exploring Vietnam.

What is the currency of Vietnam?

The official currency of Vietnam is called Vietnamese Dong (VND). One Vietnamese Dong is equal to 0.00347 Indian Rupees. Make sure to have enough local Vietnam currency for smooth and hassle free transactions. The denominations of Vietnamese Dong are 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, 100,000, 200,000, 500,000 VND in notes. You can exchange Indian rupees for Vietnamese Dong in authorized Banks, Money changers and even in the airports while traveling to Vietnam.

Do Indians need a Visa to visit Vietnam?

Yes, Indians visiting Vietnam will need to have a valid Visa and a Passport. Indians have the provision, either to apply for a Visa beforehand or can also apply for Visa on Arrival.

It takes around 5 to 7 working days to get the Vietnam visa. You can apply either online or offline. The Visa on arrival provision will have a validity of 30 days from the date of arriving in Vietnam.
