Do people speak English in Vietnam?
English is not commonly spoken in Vietnam. While traveling as tourists, we will mostly be communicating with the Vietnamese people working in the hospitality industry, who will be trained to speak fluently in English. While, People living in major cities speak English, local people living in rural areas don’t speak English. The official currency of Vietnam is called Vietnamese Dong (VND). One Vietnamese Dong is equal to 0.00347 Indian Rupees. Make sure to have enough local Vietnam currency for smooth and hassle free transactions. The denominations of Vietnamese Dong are 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, 100,000, 200,000, 500,000 VND in notes. Do Indians need a Visa to visit Vietnam?
Yes, Indians visiting Vietnam will need to have a valid Visa and a Passport. Indians have the provision, either to apply for a Visa beforehand or can also apply for Visa on Arrival.
It takes around 5 to 7 working days to get the Vietnam visa. You can apply either online or offline. The Visa on arrival provision will have a validity of 30 days from the date of arriving in Vietnam.
