  • A hotel or resort booking confirmation for the dates of travel to be produced as the proof of stay.
  • Recently taken passport-sized photos of the travellers with a white background. The photos need to match the photo in the passport.

What are the different Maldives visa categories?

The Maldives provides travellers with a variety of visas, including:

  • Tourist visa: This visa can be extended for an additional 30 days after it has been initially issued for a maximum of 30 days. It is designed for vacationers and leisure travellers to the Maldives.
  • Business visa: This visa is available to visitors coming to the Maldives on business for up to 60 days in order to attend meetings, conferences, or other business-related events.

  • Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months or possess a travel document with a Machine Readable Zone (MRZ). However, please be aware that Maldives Immigration does not permit passengers with passports showing extended validity.
  • For Indian tourists traveling to Maldives with children or minors, it is important that each child has their own passport.
  • You must have a confirmed return ticket or an onward journey ticket.
  • You are required to have a prepaid and confirmed hotel booking at a registered hotel for the entire duration of your stay.
  • You must provide proof of sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay.
  • Make sure you have a valid visa and passport for your onward journey to your next destination.

How can I extend my Maldives visa?
