Along with June and July, August is one of Finland’s warmest months. However, the average temperature in August is lower than in July, and you may feel a little autumn towards the end of the month. The national average temperature is 15 ° C, but temperatures can be high in the south and centre. August also has more rain than June and July, so it can rain, but in most cases the weather is fine. 

Days will be a little shorter,  certainly not as long as the end of June when the sun doesn’t set in most of Finland, but it’s still longer than most travellers returning home.
