Double-decker living root bridge
This bridge, as the name suggests, is made of the living roots of trees. The view from this bridge is spectacular. The path to the bridge itself is around 4000 steps. But, the journey to the double-decker bridge is absolutely worth the efforts. Once you walk over the bridge and look down at the glistening flowing water, the feeling you get is inexplicable. From this viewpoint, one can witness the seven segments of the river flowing down the Khasi limestone hills. This cave is approximately half a kilometre from the hamlet of Mawmluh. This cave is almost 4503 meters long making it one of the longest caves in Indian Subcontinent. The trek to the cave is absolutely breathtaking. There is also access by the river there. The river, upon entering the cave, makes small pools of water.
