Generally, snowing starts in the month of October and continues to snowing till Jan end and Feb beginning. but the best time to experience skiing is during December as the winter is at the peak. Camping

Situated at about 4km from Mashobra, is the Reserve Forest Sanctuary and is a must-visit spot for all nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Home to a diverse set of flora and fauna, the sanctuary is blanketed with plantations of oak, pine, cedar and other grasses, shrubs and wildflowers. Spotting a barking deer or a Himalayan eagle, at its natural habitat among lush greens gives the feeling of being one with nature at its purest form. The Tibetan Handicraft Center:

With splashes of colour and pomp, the Tibetan Handicraft market has the power to cheer those who visit it. Unique pieces of handcrafted jewellery, fabricated by local artisans and colourful woollens are the attractions of the place. Carignane:

Located at about 3.3 kilometres from Mashobra, at an altitude of 7,700 feet above sea level, Craignano is a sought after tourist spot with an intriguing history. The place is known for its beautiful villa with Italian Architecture, constructed and named by Chevalier Federico Peliti. Surrounded by small streams of fresh water and gardens of hyacinths and daffodils, the place takes one’s breath away. This place is home to the highest water lift in the world, at a height of 7,657 feet, supplying water to Shimla and nearby regions. Rappelling, rock climbing and fishing are available for adventure sports enthusiasts.

Jakhu Temple:

Not just devotees and Hindu pilgrims, but people of all ages and beliefs visit the famous Jakhu Temple located at about 9.3 kilometres from Mashobra. With the largest statue of Lord Hanuman, a central character of the Ramayana, the Jakhu temple has people from all parts of the world pouring in. Being at a high altitude, the temple serves as a vantage point for tourists to take a look at the magnificent Shivalik Mountains and Sanjauli town. The temple is said to bear a huge footprint. Folklore says it is the footprint of Lord Hanuman. The 2-kilometre trek to the temple makes the visit exciting.
