Triund Trek: The best time to trek

You can trek this place throughout the year, except January and February as this place faces heavy snowfall during these months. Also, few trekking routes are restricted during this time. However, the best time to trek is from March to May. Yes, during these months the weather is comfortable and also offers some clear views. Looking for some challenging trekking experience?   • Energy drinks, snacks and water bottles to refuel your energy

Day 1 – Start from Dharamshala and reach Triund Trek

Start your adventure from Dharamshala. Get your tummy filled with a healthy breakfast and move towards Bhagsu Nag which will take you through the Rhododendron forest. Meanwhile, have your lunch on the way and restart your trek by reaching the Dhauladhar Ranges and Kangra valley. Settle there for some time and enjoy the breathtaking views of nature. End your day by having a lovely dinner and enjoy the open sky.

Day 2 – Start from Khabrotu and end at Bhagsu village

Have your breakfast and move towards Khabrotu for an awesome viewpoint. Also, capture some beautiful views of the Lake Glacier and the snow-capped peaks of Dhauladhar. Trust me, these views will make you agree that nothing in this world is beautiful than nature. Continue with your trekking and have your lunch on the way. Finally, end up reaching the beautiful Bhagsu village and also spend some time by admiring the gushing Bhagsu waterfalls.

Triund Trek: Things you should be knowing before the trek

  • Night camping is not allowed here. So, you need to stay at any of the guest houses which are available.
  • The checkpoints during the trek are the Galu Devi temple, Rest A While cafe and the Magic view cafe.
  • The level of trekking difficulty is from easy to moderate.
  • If you are a first-time trekker, make sure you have a guide with you for a better experience.
  • Triund trek is a 9 km trek and takes around 5-6 hours to travel one way.
