Very happy to have availed the service of PYT for our Europe trip. We were well supported in our VISA processing. The logistics was planned well and we had all the necessary bookings and tickets with us. The instructions were very clear. At every point there was chat communication from the team, in india, netherlands, germany and switzerland. It helped us calm down in some of the tricky situations. A member called us to check on us and it made feel safe at all times. All the Hotels were very clean, cozy and very close to train and bus stations. Strongly recommend Pick your trail, for a stress free travel experience.Sivapriya Iyer, Trip to Switzerland

Switzerland winter-escape: A 13-Night 14-Day Itinerary

Switzerland in winter is nothing short of a postcard come to life. Imagine the snow-draped mountains, glistening lakes, and the charming ambiance of historic towns. My 13-night adventure took me through some of the most picturesque spots in the country, where every turn revealed a new delight, from the vibrant cities to the tranquil landscapes. Each place I visited had its own unique character, infused with Swiss culture and stunning natural beauty.

Highlights of the Destination

  • Interlaken: Nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, Interlaken is a thrill-seeker’s paradise, especially in the winter months. I enjoyed everything from serene boat rides to exhilarating skydives against the backdrop of the majestic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks.
  • Lucerne: This quaint city was my base for exploring the Alps. The iconic Chapel Bridge and the stunning views from Mt. Pilatus are experiences I’ll cherish forever. A steamer cruise on Lake Lucerne, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, was pure magic.
  • Zermatt: No trip to Switzerland is complete without a visit to the car-free town of Zermatt. The sight of the iconic Matterhorn looming over me was breathtaking, and I indulged in skiing and cozying up in local chalets.
  • Montreux: Famous for its jazz festival, Montreux also boasts the stunning Chillon Castle and picturesque views over Lake Geneva. I savored chocolate at the Maison Cailler factory nearby, indulging in every sweet moment.

Travel Tips for Switzerland

  • Swiss Pass: Consider purchasing a Swiss Pass for seamless travel across trains, boats, and cable cars. It made navigating from city to city a breeze.
  • Dress in Layers: The weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mountains. Layering kept me comfortable, whether I was exploring a city or skiing in the Alps.
  • Local Cuisine: Don’t miss trying traditional fondue and raclette. The local eateries, with their warm atmospheres and hearty meals, made every dining experience a delight.
  • Time for Relaxation: While it’s tempting to pack your schedule, take time to simply soak in the views or enjoy a quiet moment by the lake. The Swiss landscape is meant to be savored.

Conclusion

My 13-night journey through Switzerland was more than just a travel itinerary; it was an immersive experience in one of the most beautiful countries on earth. From the thrill of adventures in Interlaken to the serene beauty of Lucerne and Zermatt, every day offered something new. If you are seeking a winter escape that blends vibrant culture with breathtaking nature, Switzerland is the ultimate destination. With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and warm-hearted people, it will leave you enchanted and longing to return.

Well planned and customised the iternary as per our Requirement. Enjoyed our first Europe trip of 11 days (Paris & Switzerland). Through out involvement of staff to create a hasle free journey. Madhur for booking, Subash for in between planning, live support during travel by Selina, Taniya, Janani and many more. Only thing i would like to suggest that inclusion and exclusion should be notified through call at the time of booking. Not like 3 days before travel. So customer should have choice of selection either to go for it or not. Overall it was a Perfect Experience. Thank u everyone.
