I recently went on a trip to Baku and Tbilisi with two friends, organized by Pickyourtrail, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. They managed everything from visas, transfers, tours and internal flight to accommodating our preference for staying in Airbnbs. I did face an issue with my visa during immigration in Baku, which required me to apply for an urgent visa on my own. Despite this challenge, everything went smoothly afterward, and the goodwill and support from Pickyourtrail were truly commendable. They consistently checked in to ensure everything was back on track, which I highly appreciated as a customer. The tour planning was seamless, and we had great drivers throughout the journey. A special mention to Mr. Fikrat in Baku, who was not only punctual but also incredibly considerate of our needs. We felt so comfortable with him that we could leave without needing to give any instructions. Our drivers in Tbilisi, Mr. Zako and Mr. Bando, were also excellent and ensured our journey was smooth and enjoyable. One suggestion for improvement: it would be helpful if the detailed itinerary could be shared a bit earlier, so we can review it and suggest any changes if needed. Overall, Pickyourtrail delivered an amazing experience, and we are already looking forward to planning our future trips with them for ourselves and our families. Thank you for the great trip and the wonderful support throughout!Vinamrata Agnihotri, Trip to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's Hidden Jewels: 2 Nights and 3 Days in Baku

In just 2 nights and 3 days, Baku, the captivating capital of Azerbaijan, invites you to uncover its rich tapestry of history, modernity, and vibrant culture. Wander through the medieval walled old city, where every corner echoes tales from the past, and let the dynamic cityscape sweep you off your feet. My journey was nothing short of exhilarating, filled with stunning architecture, local encounters, and unforgettable memories.

Highlights of the Destination

  • The Old City, known as Icherisheher, is a charming labyrinth of ancient streets, where the Maiden Tower and Shirvanshah Palace stand as timeless symbols of Baku’s history.
  • The breathtaking Flame Towers, designed by the visionary Zaha Hadid, illuminate the skyline and offer a dramatic contrast to the historic spaces.
  • Highland Park grants a panoramic view of the Caspian Sea and the city below, making it a perfect spot for relaxation or photography.
  • Little Venice, an enchanting part of Baku Boulevard, adds a touch of magic with its serene canals and swan-shaped boats.

Travel Tips for Azerbaijan

  • Be sure to try local delicacies, like plov and dolma, at cozy cafes in the Old City for a true taste of Azerbaijani culture.
  • Take advantage of public transport, which is both affordable and efficient, making it easy to explore throughout your stay.
  • Visit attractions early in the day to avoid crowds and fully appreciate the serene beauty of sites like Maiden Tower.
  • Always carry some cash, especially in local markets, as some vendors may not accept credit cards.

Conclusion

Baku is a city that seamlessly blends the old with the new, and my experience here was a delightful blend of exploration and cultural immersion. Whether it's wandering through historical sites, indulging in local cuisine, or enjoying the lively nightlife, Baku offers a kaleidoscope of experiences in just 2 nights and 3 days. If you're seeking an adventure on a budget, this itinerary is your gateway to an unforgettable Azerbaijani journey.

We went on a trip to Azerbaijan.. All the arrangements were perfect ... The transfers were all made on time. The team could have taken care about the opening of the Lavender field .. We missed it as it was closed due to off season . On the whole we enjoyed the trip !
