Hanoi Budget scenic-train-route Trip: 2 Nights & 3 Days

Hanoi, the bustling capital of Vietnam, is a tapestry of history, culture, and vibrant street life. Every corner whispers tales of its rich heritage, making it a captivating destination for travelers. Picture wandering through narrow lanes of the Old Quarter, where the scent of street food and incense fills the air. In just 2 nights, immerse yourself in unforgettable experiences that will linger long after you've left.

Highlights of the Destination

  • The Old Quarter's Chaotic Charm: Strolling through the Old Quarter, you'll encounter a mix of traditional architecture and lively markets that are a feast for the senses.
  • Craft Villages: Just outside the city lie Quang Phu Cau and Chuong villages, renowned for their artisanal incense and conical hat-making—a perfect blend of craft and culture.
  • Train Street: Witness the unique sight of trains running through the heart of the city, where cafes line the tracks—an Instagram-worthy moment that captures local life.
  • Local Cuisine: From tantalizing Pho to delicious Banh Mi, indulge in the local flavors that make Hanoi a culinary paradise.

Travel Tips for Hanoi

  • Best Time to Visit: The ideal months to explore Hanoi are from September to November when the weather is cool and comfortable.
  • Getting Around: Utilize the efficient and affordable public transportation system, or opt for a quick motorbike ride to beat the traffic.
  • Local Customs: Embrace the local culture by being respectful in temples and traditional villages; dress modestly and engage with the artisans.
  • Currency: Vietnam's currency is the Dong. It’s wise to carry some cash, especially in markets where card payments may not be accepted.

Review of our Vietnam Trip (Pick your trials) Recently, our trip to Vietnam was made memorable, thanks to our tour guides. Our tour guides in Hanoi (Tobi) and Ninh Binh (David) were very informative, and they explained everything to us in great detail. They were friendly, patient and always ready to answer our questions, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our guide in Da Nang (Lee) was also a good one However, he didnt explain things as clearly and at times seemed a bit money minded as he was focused more on getting money from us. Still he ensured that we visited all the important places and had a smooth experience overall.
