We went for a trip to Portugal .. had a good experience with pick your trail. The support group was helpful and quite prompt. Some minor mishaps were there related to our visa.. but most of it was great. Hotel bookings were excellent. They were very helpful in planning the destination and suggested some changes for the good. Igni, srivatsan, loni all were very enthusiastic in responding to any of our queries! Overall good experience.

Embarking on a 13-night journey through Portugal via scenic train routes promises an experience as colorful and rich as the landscapes you’ll traverse. Starting in Lisbon, you'll pass by historic cities like Coimbra and indulge in the breathtaking coastal beauty of Lagos and Albufeira, finishing in the vibrant city of Porto. Imagine leisurely days of exploration interspersed with local flavors, cultural encounters, and stunning views as you make your way through this charming nation.
Highlights of the Destination
- Lisbon: The hilly, coastal capital is a blend of history and contemporary charm. Visit the São Jorge Castle for panoramic views, then wander through the cobbled streets of the Alfama district, savoring the haunting melodies of Fado.
- Coimbra: Known for its prestigious university, Coimbra reveals centuries of tradition through its medieval architecture and the enchanting Biblioteca Joanina. Get lost in the atmospheric narrow alleys and rich academic heritage that shape this city.
- Lagos: Renowned for its stunning cliffs and beaches, like Praia do Camilo, this picturesque town invites you to explore its historic old town and relax by the crystalline waters. Don’t miss the breathtaking cliffs at Ponta de Piedade.
- Porto: The birthplace of Port wine, Porto’s riverside district is a mosaic of colorful buildings and historic landmarks like the Ribeira and São Francisco Church. Savor local delicacies and take a leisurely stroll along the Douro River, where the sunsets turn the skyline into a fantasy.
