PYT truly helped us from A to Z in planning and executing our recent Europe trip covering Switzerland, Finland, and Paris. Everything was taken care of seamlessly from the very beginning until the end of our journey. A special thanks to Akhil from the sales team, Srivatsan from the customer team, and the entire customer support team, including Chandramouli, Naveen, and Dinesh. Each one of them was extremely helpful, responsive, and ensured that every detail was handled neatly and efficiently. Whenever we needed any support, they were always there to assist us without delay. Overall, the entire team made our travel experience incredibly smooth, stress-free, and truly wonderful. We are really, really satisfied with the services provided and couldnt have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much to the PickYourTrails team and everyone who helped make this trip memorable!Bharani Tharan, Trip to Switzerland

A 13-Night Winter Escape in Switzerland: Explore the Magic

Switzerland in winter is nothing short of a postcard come to life. Imagine the snow-draped mountains, glistening lakes, and the charming ambiance of historic towns. My 13-night adventure took me through some of the most picturesque spots in the country, where every turn revealed a new delight, from the vibrant cities to the tranquil landscapes. Each place I visited had its own unique character, infused with Swiss culture and stunning natural beauty.

Highlights of the Destination

  • Interlaken: Nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, Interlaken is a thrill-seeker’s paradise, especially in the winter months. I enjoyed everything from serene boat rides to exhilarating skydives against the backdrop of the majestic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks.
  • Lucerne: This quaint city was my base for exploring the Alps. The iconic Chapel Bridge and the stunning views from Mt. Pilatus are experiences I’ll cherish forever. A steamer cruise on Lake Lucerne, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, was pure magic.
  • Zermatt: No trip to Switzerland is complete without a visit to the car-free town of Zermatt. The sight of the iconic Matterhorn looming over me was breathtaking, and I indulged in skiing and cozying up in local chalets.
  • Montreux: Famous for its jazz festival, Montreux also boasts the stunning Chillon Castle and picturesque views over Lake Geneva. I savored chocolate at the Maison Cailler factory nearby, indulging in every sweet moment.

Travel Tips for Switzerland

  • Swiss Pass: Consider purchasing a Swiss Pass for seamless travel across trains, boats, and cable cars. It made navigating from city to city a breeze.
  • Dress in Layers: The weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mountains. Layering kept me comfortable, whether I was exploring a city or skiing in the Alps.
  • Local Cuisine: Don’t miss trying traditional fondue and raclette. The local eateries, with their warm atmospheres and hearty meals, made every dining experience a delight.
  • Time for Relaxation: While it’s tempting to pack your schedule, take time to simply soak in the views or enjoy a quiet moment by the lake. The Swiss landscape is meant to be savored.

Conclusion

My 13-night journey through Switzerland was more than just a travel itinerary; it was an immersive experience in one of the most beautiful countries on earth. From the thrill of adventures in Interlaken to the serene beauty of Lucerne and Zermatt, every day offered something new. If you are seeking a winter escape that blends vibrant culture with breathtaking nature, Switzerland is the ultimate destination. With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and warm-hearted people, it will leave you enchanted and longing to return.

We had a trip planned by them to Paris,France and Lucerne, Switzerland for 6 days. The pre-trip support with itinerary, visa assistance and bookings were good, there was no issues or errors during this period. Then during the trip we were accurately communicated the steps to follow and ways to reach the destinations beforehand and their customer support service was available online via their app and had quick response. As this was the first time we had an agency plan our trip so can't compare to other platforms but pick your trails was good and there was no complaints from us.
