Weather and Seasonal Guide

Dry Season (November to April)
This period of the year is the best time to visit Laos. The weather ranges from 15 to 30 °C with clear skies, which are good to go on trekking, going on river cruises and visiting temples. During this season, popular festivals such as That Luang Festival and Lao New Year (Pi Mai) are held, and they are attractively colourful and culturally rich.

Wet Season (May to October)
Afternoon rains occur during the rainy season, but the mornings are usually sunny. The rice fields become deep green, forming a beautiful scenery of the countryside. This is the ideal season for waterfall enthusiasts, and as the off-season, it offers the lowest prices for Laos holiday packages.

Mostly the experience was good. Except for some delay and confusions(like making some wrong bookings not as per the itenary) while arranging the trip. But they pulled it all back in the last 2 days before the start of journey. And compensated for confusions.. Other than that the transparency and details on the activities is lacking which sometimes feels can be better. Tip for traveller's to mauritius: book casella activity directly from casella website.

The team has done good job in curating this experience based on our needs and expectations; however, there were a few shortfalls, such as the tickets to Vinpearl Safari/VinWonders, where one of our children was initially missed due to his height (which could be discussed earlier based on your experience). Although the ground team eventually helped us get the tickets, we ended up losing about precious 45 minutes at the Zoo entrance. We also felt that our time in Hoi An could have been planned betterwe only explored one long street, whereas venturing further into the other streets would have allowed us to witness more of the towns charm. Otherwise, the trip has been great and satisfying, especially with the other places and accommodations. We appreciate the advance information on trip schedules. It was helpful to plan with kids.
