Day 04: Gangtok Sightseeing

The magnificent Tsomgo Lake (Changu) is an oval-shaped glacial lake situated at 12,310 feet above sea level. Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds also stay at the site. Once a summer destination for the British Raj aristocracy, it remains the terminus of 1881 built narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Line.” It is famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot the slopes around it. Day 06: Darjeeling sightseeing
