We thoroughly enjoyed our Sri Lanka trip with Pickyourtrail. Travelling abroad with the entire family can sometimes be tiring, especially for senior citizens, but everything was arranged very thoughtfully. Our guide was particularly caring. He would tell us in advance if a sightseeing place required a difficult climb and would suggest something else for us to see while the younger members of the family went ahead. This allowed us to enjoy the holiday at our own pace without feeling that we were missing out. We are all vegetarians, and he was always helpful in finding suitable restaurants and Indian food for us. This was something we were initially concerned about, but it was handled very well. The vehicle provided was spacious and comfortable, and both the driver and helper were very polite and helpful. The hotel arrangements were also convenient, especially having our family rooms close together. We came back with very happy memories. Thank you Pickyourtrail and the team in Sri Lanka for taking such good care of our family.

  3. 4 Nights To Kandy, Nuwara Eliya And Bentota

This 4 nights to Kandy Nuwara Eliya and Bentota itinerary takes you through three distinct regions of central and southern Sri Lanka. Starting in Kandy, you'll discover notable cultural landmarks such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic, set on a mountainous plateau with tea plantations nearby. Your stay at the Radisson Hotel Kandy places you about 5.8 km from the city center, allowing a balance between peaceful retreat and access to attractions. The journey continues to Nuwara Eliya, known as Sri Lanka's coolest area, where you can explore botanical gardens and tea factories before ending at Bentota's beach resorts, including the 5-star Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa near the coast. This itinerary’s appeal lies in combining cultural depth, hill-country scenery, and coastal leisure without cramming too many activities into a short time.

With thoughtfully scheduled transfers featuring scenic stops — from waterfalls to temples and river safaris — this trip ensures you enjoy Sri Lanka’s diversity while avoiding exhaustion. It’s a well-paced leisure plan for travelers keen to experience varied landscapes and heritage in just four nights.

Rich Cultural Treasures Await in Kandy’s Heart

Kandy’s cultural and historical significance makes it a focal point for your Sri Lankan journey. The itinerary includes a cultural tour starting at Kataragama Devalaya, a spiritual site, and continuing through the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, famous for their lush flora and walking trails. The highlight is the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a revered Buddhist shrine hosting a sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. Adjacent to these sites is the Gem Museum, where visitors can observe exquisite local jewels.

In the evening, an authentic Kandyan cultural dance performance offers an artistic glimpse into the island's traditions. Note that entrance fees for these sites vary by nationality and are payable on-site—it's wise to carry a passport copy rather than the original during visits. While the Radisson Hotel Kandy is about 5.8 km from the city center, the short drive provides a quieter stay away from the city’s livelier spots.

Nuwara Eliya’s Cool Climate and Scenic Hill Country Riches

After Kandy, the journey continues to Nuwara Eliya, famed for its temperate climate and tea plantations. Your accommodation at the Araliya Red Hotel offers sweeping 360-degree views of the surrounding hills, just over 3 km from the town center, providing easy access to local attractions.

On the transfer to Nuwara Eliya, the itinerary features stops at Ramboda Falls, an impressive waterfall embraced by verdant mountains, and Bajrang Hanuman Temple, a colorful Hindu shrine linked to the Ramayana epic. A visit to a local tea factory educates travelers on the production process of Ceylon tea, a key export of the region. Finally, Gregory Lake offers a peaceful setting to enjoy the cool air and reflect on the day’s sights.

This segment blends natural beauty with cultural and industrial heritage, all within a relaxed pacing that respects the altitude-induced freshness and slower tempo of hill country life.

Seaside Relaxation and Ecological Adventures in Bentota

Concluding the trip, Bentota provides coastal charm with its long sandy beaches and the nearby Paradise Island beach strip. The 5-star Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa, a short 4.4 km drive from Bentota’s center, offers luxury and spa services to unwind after your inland explorations.

The itinerary also includes an intercity transfer featuring a Madhu River boat safari through mangroves, visits to a local sea turtle hatchery focused on conservation, and opportunities for watersports along the coast. Entrance fees and activity costs must be paid at each site, allowing you to select experiences that best suit your interests and budget.

This combination of ecological tours and leisure on Bentota’s shores rounds out an itinerary that balances active discovery with peaceful seaside rest.

I booked a trip to Sri Lanka with PickyourTrail for ten members of my family. This is the second trip that I have booked with PickyourTrail. They have done an excellent job right from creating the itinerary to ensuring that we have the right vehicle, you know, giving us details of the hotel, following up every single day during the trip, arranging cakes for two special occasions and finally extending bus timings during the drop-off as well. They have certainly gone above and beyond and made the experience quite memorable. They were always present when required for help, they've always followed up with us. and that I think is absolutely delightful customer support. Would definitely book any future vacations, especially those with families with them as it is a hassle free experience.

I had a great experience planning my Sri Lanka trip with PickYourTrail. The itinerary was well organized, the hotels matched what was promised, and all transfers were smooth. The app was easy to use, and having all the vouchers and travel details in one place made the trip stress-free. What stood out the most was their customer support. They were responsive whenever I had questions before the trip and were flexible in helping customize parts of my itinerary. Everything went largely as planned, which made traveling solo much more comfortable. A couple of small improvements could be providing final travel documents a little earlier and offering more proactive suggestions for local experiences, but these were minor and didnt affect the overall experience. Overall, Id happily recommend PickYourTrail to anyone looking for a hassle-free, well-planned international holiday. Looking forward to booking another trip with them in the future!

Had an amazing experience with PYT for our Sri Lanka trip. Right from planning to execution, everything was handled seamlessly. A big thanks to Kamali for putting together a well-balanced itinerary that perfectly covered all key places without feeling rushed. Ragul ensured a smooth pre-boarding experience, guiding us clearly through all the requirements and making the start of the trip completely stress-free. During the trip, Harikrishna was extremely responsive and supportive. It was reassuring to have someone available at all times for any queries or coordination, this really made a difference. The overall arrangements, driver, vehicle, travel flow, and experiences, were excellent. Everything was well-organized and executed professionally. The only area of improvement would be one of the hotel stays in Bentota, which didnt meet expectations. Apart from that, the entire trip was fantastic. Overall, a great experience with PYT. Would definitely recommend them for a hassle-free and well-managed vacation.

We chose Pick Your Trails for our Sri Lanka holiday to celebrate our babys first birthday, and it was an excellent decision. The trip was thoughtfully planned and well executed, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free for us as parents. There was a minor check-in issue at the Bentota hotel on the first day from the hotels side, but apart from that, everything was handled efficiently by the team. Special thanks to Austin for the planning and to Adithyan, Nimmy, Abhinaya, and Devi for their timely support throughout the trip. The driver was polite, the stays were comfortable, and the journey felt seamless overall. It truly became a memorable first birthday celebration for our baby.
