I recently went on a trip to Baku and Tbilisi with two friends, organized by Pickyourtrail, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. They managed everything from visas, transfers, tours and internal flight to accommodating our preference for staying in Airbnbs. I did face an issue with my visa during immigration in Baku, which required me to apply for an urgent visa on my own. Despite this challenge, everything went smoothly afterward, and the goodwill and support from Pickyourtrail were truly commendable. They consistently checked in to ensure everything was back on track, which I highly appreciated as a customer. The tour planning was seamless, and we had great drivers throughout the journey. A special mention to Mr. Fikrat in Baku, who was not only punctual but also incredibly considerate of our needs. We felt so comfortable with him that we could leave without needing to give any instructions. Our drivers in Tbilisi, Mr. Zako and Mr. Bando, were also excellent and ensured our journey was smooth and enjoyable. One suggestion for improvement: it would be helpful if the detailed itinerary could be shared a bit earlier, so we can review it and suggest any changes if needed. Overall, Pickyourtrail delivered an amazing experience, and we are already looking forward to planning our future trips with them for ourselves and our families. Thank you for the great trip and the wonderful support throughout!Vinamrata Agnihotri, Trip to Azerbaijan

Baku Trip Package for 5 Nights for Family

Embark on a captivating 5-night journey to Baku, Azerbaijan, where rich history intertwines with modern marvels. This vibrant capital glows with the charm of the Caspian Sea and radiates a warm, welcoming spirit. Whether you are exploring the medieval treasures of the Old City or marveling at the contemporary designs of the Flame Towers, Baku is a feast for the senses. Dive into a bustling marketplace, breathe in the local spices, and indulge in authentic Azerbaijani dishes, creating memories your family will treasure.

Highlights of the Destination

  • The Old City: Wander through Baku's UNESCO-listed Old City, where you'll find the majestic Maiden Tower and the elegant Palace of the Shirvanshahs, each whispering tales of centuries past.
  • Gobustan National Park: Experience the prehistoric petroglyphs and incredible mud volcanoes that tell the story of humanity's first inhabitants. A short drive from the city, it’s a natural wonder waiting to be explored.
  • Caspian Sea Cruise: Sail on the biggest lake on Earth, enjoying breathtaking views that capture Baku's stunning skyline against the tranquil blue waters.
  • Zaha Hadid’s Heydar Aliyev Center: Intrigued by modern architecture? This cultural hub features sweeping curves and innovative designs, offering exhibitions that connect history and art.

Travel Tips for Azerbaijan

  • Best Time to Visit: Spring (April to June) and fall (September to October) offer pleasant weather, perfect for sightseeing.
  • Local Currency: The Manat (AZN) is the local currency, so be sure to have some cash on hand as not all places accept cards.
  • Language: While Azerbaijani is the official language, many people understand Russian and English, especially in tourist areas.
  • Dress Code: Casual and comfortable clothing is advisable, but remember to modestly dress when visiting religious sites.

Conclusion

Baku invites you and your family to untangle the threads of its diverse culture woven through the ages. With memorable excursions, like a half-day city tour shared with enthusiastic local guides and thrilling adventures in the natural landscapes, every moment spent here is a treasure. From its ancient roots to its gleaming skyline, Baku is not just a destination; it’s a cultural odyssey. Pack your bags and set out for a family adventure that will fill your hearts and minds with inspiration.

We went on a trip to Azerbaijan.. All the arrangements were perfect ... The transfers were all made on time. The team could have taken care about the opening of the Lavender field .. We missed it as it was closed due to off season . On the whole we enjoyed the trip !
