International Travel Packages From Siliguri
Nestled at the gateway to Northeast India and the Eastern Himalayas, Siliguri offers convenient access to some of the world's most sought-after holiday destinations. With excellent connectivity via Bagdogra Airport and nearby rail networks, travellers can easily embark on international adventures ranging from tropical beach escapes and cultural city breaks to luxury European vacations. International tour packages from Siliguri cater to every travel style, whether you're planning a romantic honeymoon, a family holiday, an adventure-filled getaway, or a bucket-list journey abroad.
From destinations such as Thailand, Singapore, Dubai, Bali, Vietnam, Maldives, and Europe to emerging favourites like Japan and South Korea, travellers from Siliguri can choose from a wide range of curated international holidays. With customisable itineraries, seamless flight connections, visa assistance, and expert travel planning, booking international tour packages from Siliguri has never been easier.
Is Siliguri a Good Place to Fly Internationally From?
Absolutely. For travellers across North Bengal, Sikkim, and the Northeastern states, Siliguri is the most natural and convenient launchpad for international travel. Bagdogra Airport (IXB) has expanded considerably over recent years, handling over 3.2 million passengers annually and growing steadily, and it connects to India's major hubs with ease.
While IXB's direct international coverage currently focuses on Bhutan (Paro) and Bangkok, its real strength lies in seamless domestic connectivity to Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and Delhi's IGI. A short domestic flight unlocks virtually every international destination in the world. Whether you're planning Southeast Asia tour packages from Siliguri, a romantic Maldives honeymoon, or a grand European adventure, the logistics are far simpler than most travellers expect.
For residents of Siliguri, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, Gangtok, and even Guwahati, Bagdogra remains one of the best-positioned airports in Eastern India for beginning an international journey.
Best International Destinations from Siliguri
Bangkok/Thailand
~3–4 hrs | Direct or 1 stop via Kolkata | From ₹35,000/person | 5N/6D
Thailand offers one of the best combinations of price, variety, and sheer enjoyment available anywhere. Bangkok's temples, markets, and legendary street food make it a destination unto itself, while Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui, and Chiang Mai each deliver their own distinct character. Budget-friendly accommodation, exceptional cuisine, and enough nightlife or nature to satisfy any group make Thailand one of the most booked international tour packages from Siliguri. An ideal choice for budget-conscious travellers and groups.
Singapore
~4–5 hrs via 1 stop | From ₹58,000/person | 5N/6D
Singapore is the go-to for first-time international travellers from Siliguri. Efficient, clean, safe, and genuinely exciting — it ticks every box for families and solo travellers alike. Universal Studios Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Island, Marina Bay Sands, and the Night Safari provide a near-endless itinerary. Its multicultural character and diverse food scene make it approachable for Indian travellers, while its world-class infrastructure ensures nothing ever feels complicated. The Singapore tour package is a reliable, rewarding first stamp on any passport.
Maldives
~5–6 hrs via 1 stop | From ₹65,000/person | 4N/5D
For couples, the Maldives needs no introduction. Overwater villas, crystal lagoons, private beaches, and total seclusion combine to create the most romantic environment on the planet. Siliguri honeymooners have increasingly discovered that the Maldives is not just for the wealthy — with packages available across a range of budgets, this dream destination is more accessible than it looks. A 4- or 5-night trip is all you need to come back completely transformed.
Sri Lanka
~3–4 hrs via 1 stop | From ₹28,000/person | 5N/6D
Sri Lanka is one of the most rewarding budget international destinations from Siliguri. Despite its geographical proximity, it feels genuinely foreign — a world of colonial hill stations, jungle wildlife, scenic train journeys through tea country, and Indian Ocean beaches. Colombo, Kandy, Ella, Bentota, and Galle together make for an itinerary that satisfies culture lovers, nature seekers, and beach travellers simultaneously. The value per experience here is almost unmatched.
Dubai
~6–7 hrs via 1 stop | From ₹40,000/person | 5N/6D
Dubai may require a transit, but for Siliguri travellers, the extra flight time is well worth it. The city delivers at every level, from the Burj Khalifa's observation deck and the Dubai Mall's indoor skiing to desert safaris at dusk and luxury beachfront resorts. Whether travelling as a family, a couple, or with friends, Dubai manages to feel exciting and surprisingly accessible. International tour packages to Dubai remain among the most popular across all age groups.
Bali
~8–10 hrs via 1 stop | From ₹48,000/person | 6N/7D
Bali continues to hold a special place in the imagination of Indian travellers, and Siliguri is no exception. Private pool villas in Seminyak, the rice terrace walks of Ubud, clifftop temples at Uluwatu, and black-sand beaches in Lovina create a destination where romance and adventure coexist effortlessly. For honeymooners seeking a luxurious experience without the Maldives price tag, Bali is the answer.
Malaysia
~6–7 hrs via 1 stop | From ₹40,000/person | 5N/6D
Malaysia is a destination that consistently over-delivers on value. Kuala Lumpur's skyline and food culture, Langkawi's beach resorts, Genting Highlands' mountain entertainment complex, and Penang's heritage streets together make it one of the most versatile family international tour packages from Siliguri. Affordable, diverse, and easy to navigate, Malaysia rewards travellers of all ages without stretching the budget.
Switzerland
~12–14 hrs via 1–2 stops | From ₹1,20,000/person | 7N/8D
Switzerland is the aspirational choice — the destination you plan for months and remember for decades. The Swiss Alps, Jungfraujoch, Interlaken's green valleys, Lucerne's lakeside charm, and the legendary Glacier Express are experiences that live up to every photograph. For Siliguri families and honeymooners who want their first European trip to be genuinely unforgettable, Switzerland is the answer. The journey is long, but every hour of it is worth it.
International Flights Connectivity from Siliguri (IXB)
Bagdogra Airport is a 15–20 minute drive from central Siliguri and serves the wider North Bengal and Sikkim region. It has grown into a serious air travel hub, ranked among the top 20 busiest airports in India, with strong domestic connectivity across all major cities.
Direct international routes currently serve Paro (Bhutan) and Bangkok via Drukair, with Kuala Lumpur added seasonally. For all other destinations, Kolkata's NSCBI Airport is the natural hub, a 50-minute flight that bypasses road travel entirely. Delhi, Mumbai, and Guwahati are equally useful intermediate points for onward international connections.

Nepal is practically a neighbour; the cultural familiarity, the mountain scenery, and the no-visa policy make it the most frictionless international trip possible from Siliguri. Bhutan is a particularly compelling option for Siliguri travellers, given the direct flight and deep cultural resonance with North Bengal's traditions. Nepal's Pokhara and Kathmandu are within reach of a weekend, and Sri Lanka is arguably the best-value beach-and-culture combination in Asia for those willing to add a short transit.
Budget-Based International Tour Packages from Siliguri
Under ₹40,000 per person
Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Bahrain all sit comfortably here. These destinations are ideal for first-time international travellers, college groups, and anyone looking to experience the thrill of a foreign stamp in the passport without overcommitting financially. A well-planned trip in this range delivers genuine memories — mountains, temples, beaches, and entirely different cultures — for the price of a domestic resort weekend.
₹40,000–₹80,000 per person
Singapore, Malaysia, Bali, Dubai, Vietnam, and Oman all become fully accessible at this level. This is the sweet spot for most Siliguri travellers — enough to stay comfortably, eat well, and enjoy the destination properly without counting every expense. The majority of family trips, anniversary holidays, and group tours from Siliguri fall within this range.
₹80,000 and above per person
This is where the Maldives, Switzerland, Japan, Mauritius, and multi-city Europe tours come into their own. Siliguri families and couples who plan these trips tend to do so with care and intention, and the results are itineraries that become stories retold for years. Jungfraujoch at 3,454 metres, a private overwater villa at sunrise, cherry blossoms in Kyoto, this bracket delivers experiences that no photograph quite captures.
Seasonal Travel Planner from Siliguri
Siliguri's climate has a personality of its own — heavy monsoons that drench the foothills for months, a brief and glorious autumn, and a mild winter that most of the country would envy. Matching your international travel to these seasons rather than school holidays alone often results in far better trips.
Pre-Summer / Spring (March – May)
Best Destinations: Bhutan, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Turkey
March and April are excellent months to travel before the monsoon arrives. Bhutan's valleys are in bloom with rhododendrons, arguably the best time to visit. Japan's cherry blossoms peak in late March and April, drawing travellers from across the world with good reason. Vietnam's central coast is at its most pleasant. Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean shores are warm and uncrowded before the European peak season begins.
Monsoon (June – September)
Best Destinations: Dubai, Maldives, Bali, Kazakhstan
Siliguri's monsoon is intense, one of the wettest seasons in the subcontinent. Travellers seeking dry skies should head for the Gulf, where Bali's dry season coincides perfectly, and Dubai's summer hotel discounts make luxury genuinely affordable. The Maldives offers uncrowded beaches and off-season pricing during this window. For the adventurous, Central Asia, Kazakhstan in particular, offers dramatic landscapes and pleasantly warm summers, completely removed from the monsoon belt.
Post-Monsoon (October – November)
Best Destinations: Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bali, Thailand
October is arguably the finest month to leave Siliguri. The monsoon lifts, the hills turn luminously green, and the air carries a clarity that makes the mountains visible from the city. Those who choose to travel during this window discover Southeast Asia at its very best, Singapore and Malaysia temperate and vibrant, Sri Lanka's coasts calm and clear, Bali still lush from the rains. Shoulder-season pricing during October and November often yields the best value of the entire calendar year.
Winter (December – February)
Best Destinations: Thailand, Vietnam, Maldives, Mauritius, Switzerland
December in Siliguri means fog, cool nights, and the peak holiday season as schools break and families converge. Thailand and Vietnam are at their finest, cool, dry, and alive with festivities. Mauritius sparkles in the southern hemisphere summer. The Maldives hits its peak season: pricier, but absolutely worth it for a honeymoon. Switzerland offers a completely different face in winter, snow-covered chalets, ski resorts, and the Jungfraujoch draped in white.
Family-Friendly International Destinations from Siliguri
Families from North Bengal and Sikkim travel together in the fullest sense — multi-generational groups that include grandparents and young children in equal measure. A good family destination needs a manageable journey time, reliably good infrastructure, familiar food options, and activities broad enough to hold attention across three generations simultaneously.

How Much Does an International Trip from Siliguri Cost?
The cost of an international holiday from Siliguri depends on the destination, travel season, hotel category, flight availability, and the overall shape of the trip. What is consistent is that options exist across every budget level.
As a general guideline, destinations such as Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand can be experienced for ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 per person, making them ideal for budget-conscious or first-time international travellers. Popular destinations like Singapore, Malaysia, Bali, Dubai, and Vietnam typically range from ₹50,000 to ₹90,000 per person, offering a solid balance of comfort, sightseeing, and quality accommodation. For travellers seeking the premium end, Maldives, Switzerland, Japan, Mauritius, and Europe tour packages from Siliguri, costs generally start from ₹1 lakh per person and scale upward based on hotel category, season, and inclusions.
Booking 2–4 months in advance, particularly for the pre-summer window (March–May) and the year-end holiday season (December–January), consistently yields the best airfare and hotel rates. Travelling in October or November, Siliguri's own finest season, also tends to offer excellent value for Southeast Asian destinations.

We recently completed our Australia trip planned through Pickyourtrail. While we enjoyed the destination, there were several areas where better guidance and planning would have made our experience much smoother: 1. Whale-Watching Booking The whale-watching company booked for us operated smaller boats, which are more likely to be affected by weather conditions. Our trip was impacted because of this. It would be better to recommend operators with larger vessels, as they can generally operate despite minor weather changes. 2. Melbourne Accommodation The hotel rooms booked for us in Melbourne were extremely small and uncomfortable for a family. Better hotel options, particularly those suitable for families travelling with children, should have been suggested. 3. Free Attractions in Melbourne Melbourne has several places that can be explored without purchasing tickets, but these were not included in our itinerary. For example, the free City Circle Tram, Route 35, takes tourists around many of Melbournes heritage buildings and major attractions. Information like this would have helped us explore the city better and manage our expenses. 4. Car-Seat Requirements Families travelling with children up to seven years old should be informed in advance about child-seat requirements while using taxis or ride-hailing services in Sydney and Melbourne. We were unaware of this and faced considerable inconvenience. This is essential information and should form part of the pre-travel guidance. 5. Cairns Airport Transfers In Cairns, the arranged taxi service could not provide a vehicle large enough for our family and luggage. For both transfers, we had to take two separate taxis, which was inconvenient and should have been anticipated during the planning stage. 6. Local Transport Guidance Basic information about public transport should be included in every itinerary. For example: - Sydney uses the Opal card for trains, buses, ferries and light rail. - Melbourne uses the myki card, although it is not required within the Free Tram Zone. Such information would help travellers use public transport confidently and avoid unnecessary spending on taxis. Overall, the itinerary covered the main destinations, but it lacked practical, family-specific guidance. Since we were travelling with a young child and an elderly family member, details regarding suitable accommodation, vehicle capacity, car-seat requirements, weather-dependent activities and local transportation should have been planned and communicated more carefully. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps Pickyourtrail improve the travel experience for future families. Over all we had a great time! Rishi Sharma and surya gave enough time to us at planning stage and understanding the need of the families. While on trip Gaurav was continuously in touch and did the needful as and when requested. Pick your trail team is very helpful and approachable.

I want to take a moment to share our feedback on our recent Georgia trip, with PYT Overall, we would rate our experience a 9/10. We genuinely loved the itinerary, the travel experience and, most importantly, the way the trip allowed us to experience different sides of Georgia within the time available. What stood out to us the most was the way the itinerary was planned in consultation with us; special thanks to Salome A. It felt thoughtfully curated rather than being a standard package, with an effort to cover the best possible experiences the country had to offer. Of course, there were a few places we couldnt cover, but we completely understand that it isnt possible to experience everything in seven days. The itinerary struck a very good balance between sightseeing, travel and experiences. A special mention has to go to Mr Amuri, who was one of the biggest reasons our trip was so memorable. He went well beyond the designated itinerary to take us to places and experiences that we might otherwise have missed. More than just being a driver and guide, he genuinely tried to make us experience Georgia. His recommendations for authentic Georgian food were absolutely on point from the bread and lobiani to the khachapuri at Retro Caf and his khinkali recommendations, we loved every bit of it. We would also like to appreciate the PickYourTrail team Shreya, Jaffy, Abhiraj and the entire team for staying in constant touch throughout the trip. The regular check-ins and coordination gave us the comfort of knowing that someone was always keeping an eye on our journey and ensuring that things were going smoothly. Gudauri was probably the highlight of the trip for us the uphill drive, the ATV experience and the incredible view from our hotel made it particularly memorable. And finally, a small gesture that genuinely touched us was when Mr Amuri gave us a Georgian flag as a souvenir on our last day. It wasnt something we had asked for or expected, but it was a lovely way to end the trip and gave us something tangible to take back with us from Georgia. Overall, we came back with some wonderful memories and, more importantly, with a genuine fondness for Georgia. A large part of that was because of the people who helped us experience it the way we did.
