Pura Puseh, Ubud: A Sacred Temple in the Heart of Ubud

The Pura Puseh temple has an inscription that testifies to 1022 AD. The temple underwent restoration in 1992. Five-tiered gateway tower, clearly influenced by Indian religious architecture, is one of the main attractions of the temple. The style of the icons and decorations are typically Balinese. The fibre of a chromatic black palm tree was used to make the roof of the temple. The best part is that  the maintenance of the temple is done by the residents of the village itself. By car: You can head to Batuan village in Gianyar Regency which is located in central Bali. The Pura Puseh temple is located in the Batuan village only.
