“Suluban Beach Uluwatu" is a stunningly beautiful beach located on the island of Bali in Indonesia. It is popular among surfers and beachgoers for its tranquil setting and stunning views. The beach is known for its impressive blue-green waters and dramatic limestone cliffs. If you are a beach lover, don’t miss this place on your Bali tour packages.

About Suluban Beach

Suluban Beach, also known as "Blue Point," is located at the end of Jalan Mamo in the Labuan Sait coastline area, which is shared by the famous surf sites Padang Padang and Uluwatu. One of Bali's most extraordinary beaches is concealed in natural limestone formations and accessed by stairs and wooden ramps through narrow crevices. The small beach is enveloped by a high cliff and serves as an elite paradise for surfers. It is not suitable for sunbathing, but if you are curious about which places to visit in Bali for surfing, then Suluban is the answer. Elite surfers prefer it as a base to paddle out and ride surrounding reef breaks.

When you get to the coast, you'll have to take a 10-minute stroll down a flight of concrete steps. However, you will not find the beach right away. Pass the rows of locally-run cafés (offering cold Bintangs, light nibbles, and surfer snacks, like nasi campur mixed rice, a local specialty), surfboard rentals, and artwork shops, with the Single Fin Bar on your right. The main beach access will finally be found at the end of a narrow cliff.

A big log running parallel to a large cavern acts as a boardwalk, leading you over some boulders and onto the soft sand. The cavern is also a popular camping spot, with tents and bonfires becoming common. Azure waters and the sky are visible ahead through small cliff gaps.

There are various rocky entrances and little caves to explore and even claim as your resting area' for the day, as well as paths leading to different sections of the beach. The best time is at low tide when there are more spaces and sandy walks, as well as tide pools where you may enjoy a relaxing dip, One of the fun things to do in Bali. Surfers come and go with the tide, and the best breakers are only a short paddle out.

The Balawista lifeguards are stationed on a cliff-top watchtower northwest of the beach, usually viewing the waves and surfers. There are no lifeguards on duty in the beach area. Keep an eye on the tides because currents can be strong and waves can smash through cave openings. Suluban Beach is likewise not suitable for small children. Early mornings are usually the ideal time to visit to avoid crowds and simply claim your preferred spots, but sunset is the most beautiful.

How to Reach Suluban Beach

Suluban Beach is positioned on Peninsula Hill, about 34 kilometers from Denpasar. From Kuta, it's a 45-minute drive to the beach.  If you need to access the beach quickly, taking public transportation is impossible unless you take a cab and urge the taxi driver to wait. You must also pay an IDR 20,000 admission fee to enter the beach area. This location also has a café or restaurant that serves international, Indonesian, and traditional Balinese cuisine.

Activities At Suluban Beach

There are numerous beach sports to choose from when it comes to things to do on Suluban Beach. From surfing to scuba diving, there are several beach sports available at any beach. However, you will be disappointed at Suluban Beach because there are no such exciting beach games. Suluban Beach has plenty of surfboards for rent. It is an ideal surf spot.

Massive waves ranging from 3 to 12 feet await surfers. This is a true paradise for mad surfers who want to spend their entire day playing and enjoying the beach waves on their surfboard. The best time to surf here is during the dry season, which lasts from April to August.

Suluban Beach is undeniably beautiful at sunset, but it is best to visit early in the morning to avoid crowds and grab your favorite spot. You might be the only person there! Make time to explore some of the hidden areas beneath the Suluban cave. The actual treasure here may be the Pirates of the Caribbean lookalikes.
