Expo 2020 Dubai- 10 Million Visitor Milestone and a Viral AD Campaign!

On January 18th, Expo 2020 Dubai recorded the milestone by completing 10.1 million visitors and still rising. Visitors were amazed by the first Global Goals Week to be held outside of New York. It also held a star-studded K-pop concert. Global Goals Week will be running until January 22nd, in association with the United Nations. The main focus is to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. People of all ages can get involved in art, dance, quizzes and light festivals and raise awareness and inspire everyone to become change-makers. 

The news says the United Arab Emirates recorded nearly 3,000 Covid-19 cases on January 17th. The organisers say to prioritize your health and safety, with stringent rules in place across the site. All the visitors aged 18-and-above must show a negative PCR test result taken within the previous 72 hours or a covid vaccination certificate. Take all the necessary precautions including wearing face masks – indoor and outdoors for visitors, staff and participants. 

Viral Advertisement Campaign of Expo 2020 Dubai

Expo 2020 Dubai A380 also made a headline with its another edition of a viral ad campaign. For this edition, Emirates is soaring up and around the stunning Burj Khalifa. It made the headlines in August when it took its brand message to the spectacular heights on the top of the world’s tallest building. 

This time, a stuntwoman is standing at the pinnacle of the building once again. She is holding up the message boards with the invitation to visit the Expo 2020 Dubai. Then she made some gestures to her friend, the eye-catching Emirates A380. The plane is wearing the Expo 2020 Dubai livery, gracefully soars in the background as she stands on the spire. The advertisement also features 360-degree aerial views of Dubai and its iconic skyline. 

According to Khaleejtimes, Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said: “Now at the halfway mark of its six-month run, the excitement and momentum around Expo 2020 Dubai remain strong.
